  1. Holy horsefeathers he made a FG
  2. Meanwhile the Jets are looking luke they wasted ANOTHER 1st rd pick at QB
  3. Well, Trubisky is massively outplaying Darnold today.
  4. I mean, we DID win 3 stanleys and just got our goalie back. How is it not possible with a young star or two of infusion that we could be good? I
  5. It's so weird that you keep pushing this "Trubisky is terrible" agenda, when you were one of the most vocal Cutler supporters on this board. If Trubisky continues along the same terrible plane he's been on this season, he finishes better than Cutler across the board statistically. mitch had more talent and better coaching around him than cutler ever had I remember seeing Cutler make the most bone-headed throw and walk off the field all "who caaaaaaaaaaares". They gave him talent as well, he had Forte, Clarke, Marshall, Olsen, Jeffery. He never had Nagy as a coach, but he also never had this sieve of a defense and Devin Hester on ST. This argument that Cutler was shafted and Trubisky is all that matters with why the Bears aren't 6-0 is nuts. Absolutely NUTS.
  6. yea. When the opposing team's WR is running wild through the Bears secondary I totally blame Mitch
  7. The point is that chalking this loss up as expected and Not that bad since we all thought this team was mediocre in August is not a good way to judge a team that has to win with what they already have. They aren't getting more talent. This is the team they have to win with now. Mack is worth the trade, but you still have to win games and their qb was trash today. whenever I see Trubisky have a rough game, I think to myself "well at least he isn't Jay Cutler".
  8. losing picks sucks, but Mack is/was/and will be worth that trade. We're also not out of the playoffs by a long shot. Today sucked, losing to Miami sucked, but the season isn't 1/2 over.
  9. he's white? Latin players only like big cities? Mormon? I thought bible thumpers hated Mormons???
  10. They usually are designed to be a wr screen, giving the wr the ball as quickly as possible with blockers thinking they can block their way to 5 yards. Then you usually have DB's and maybe an OLB to defend against, no monster DL's. Added to that is a wr or flanker in space is harder to tackle then a rb smashing through a line. If you do it well and do it when you catch a defense off guard it can go for big yards. Every team tries it. You also don't risk a sack. but when it goes bad it looks stupid. Every time. I'm aware of these things, maybe should have phrased differently? I wonder if there's statistics kept on the number of 3rd and shorts (say 4 -5 yards) converted on plays behind the LOS or the chains vs. attempted paases beyond the chains? I think thats a great question, and I'd love to see the stats too.
  11. not sure if serious, but the point is to give the receiver an opportunity to make a play. the same reason QBs handoff to running backs behind the line of scrimmage despite seemingly wanting them to run beyond it. Every time.
  12. I didnt think Kimbrel was always this heart-attacky, but watching him close out a game this postseason is crazy
  13. Taking one Bellichek: hide em from/on the injury report
  14. Maybe this is because hes dead :(
  15. What does it stand for? I thought it was strictly defense? Nvm. I looked it up. Its still surprising that KCs defense doesn’t factor into that more
  16. this is where DVOA gets me, KC's defense is near the bottom in ypg allowed if not THE bottom, and yet DVOA says they are #1. I understand yards allowed isn't a great indicator of what FO is trying to sell here, but that is such a variance I start to doubt their methods.
  17. Fine. I blame Howard. Trade him.
  18. That, and Howard is fine if he fumbles on the goalline? Mitch didn’t lose that game. Hes the one position player that is steadily improving. Name another?
  19. I think its fair to say hes meeting expectations
  20. Huh? He had a couple of bad throws/decisions but ended with a 122 passer rating. Hes hardly the reason the Bears lost.
