  1. Parkeys had a bad SEASON. its not one game like Crosby. And Crosby is about the worse kicker out of all of the cold climate open-air stadiums across the NFL, so not a great example. I'd love to see him turn it around, but when I hear he doesn't want to practice at Soldier Field (a place he HAS to be able to kick in) and he has every opportunity to do so, he just doesn't inspire optimism in me. It looks like the Bears are going to make him do that so we will see how it affects him.
  2. I'm going to guess Parkey is willing to put in work. Well he HAS to now
  3. smart plan. hopefully, he doesn't get stuck in the traffic and miss his appointments.
  4. where's the list? There has to be at least one worth looking at I think it was Hub yesterday mentioned a band of kickers traveling the league looking for work like it was a circus. He said there is a reason that they are out of work and none of them will be better than Parkey. I don't think I'd put much trust in what Hub says, but I get the idea that the best options are already employed. That being said, why cant we get a guy who will practice at Soldier so he understands that field? I remember Gould having a hell of time his first year there and having to learn the field and the winds that wreak havoc there. There has to be someone willing to put in the work.
  5. Let's not pretend this was the first time he's had issues. I'm not. He's not very good. But they've been cycling through kickers for a while now because a lot of them are not very good, especially guys that are currently available. where's the list? There has to be at least one worth looking at
  6. I feel like the Bears need to beat the Vikings and Packers at home before getting too giddy about their playoff run. Winning all 3 of those upcoming games would def put them on everyones target, however.
  7. Bears may not need to beat 3 in a row. Every year the playoffs see an upset or two.
  8. at least we got the game right Bears cant spell
  9. Mack had 2 sacks. whats that tell you and mitch played very well. He's starting to find the open receivers he missed earlier int he season. Anthony Millers TD, Miller was WIDE open and just had to juke one defender
  10. Well its not perfect....
  11. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnn
  12. Robinson looks like the guy we all wanted. 98 yrs and a TD on 3 catches so far. I'll take that
  13. A trade thay big is: Red Sox Yankees The team that just lost 2 : Dodgers Since the bosox look like gods next superteam, id say its the yankees that want Bryant. Well then sign Harper That kinda makes sense, but its also really weird.
  14. My money is on option 2. It probably isn't actual collusion, but this is what collusion would look like. it could only be collusion if one of the teams were to sign him well under market value while the others stood around and watched and somehow getting a kick-back, which won't happen
  15. memories of Keith in 2010. CHAMPIONSHIP!! (?) jk
  16. I'll concede the age argument, being only 26 and having time on his side to improve, but he hasn't had a lot of kicking experience and he's bounced around a good bit. that makes me question his competency a lot despite hitting 89% of 23 fg's or so in the last few years. Thats not a lot of attempts. And, he's struggled over 40 yards a good bit he's 70% on 43 attempts over 40 yards for his career...i honestly don't know if that's good or bad...my guess is it's mediocre. I just looked quickly at other kicker's and were seeing consistent numbers in the upper 80's+, so that was my basis for the statement about 40+. ETA: I looked at Crosby, Hauska and the Pats kicker (similar stadiums/weather). Only Crosby was similar to Parkey and everyone in GB seems to want him out.
  17. he hit 89% of his kicks his first year, 32/36 (made pro-bowl, for whatever that is worth), looks like he got hurt and went on IR in 2015, made 80% in 2016, and 91% in 2017...how's that not relatively competent? I'll concede the age argument, being only 26 and having time on his side to improve, but he hasn't had a lot of kicking experience and he's bounced around a good bit. that makes me question his competency a lot despite hitting 89% of 23 fg's or so in the last few years. 18. yea, but, he hasn't been relatively competent which is why he's with his 4th team since 2014
  19. I'm not sure I really wanted him unless he was cheap. He does have some mileage and our DE's are pretty solid as is. If anything, I really want a new kicker. it sucks that he missed that kick in Miami but i don't really see how Parkey has been a big problem he's 13/16... 5/7 from 40-49 and 1/2 from 50+ (28/28 on xp also) I just dont see him as the future. Love to be wrong

  21. he is, but so is Tom Brady and Bartolo Colon. Jagr is a freak and not particularly good at this point in his career, more like roster filler at a decent level of play. I'd echo Brendons sentiment about the say Q had in personnel. Its a great question.
  22. this is pretty much where I'm at, but I keep pining for one last run out of the group.
