  1. Mizzell got 1 carry. That's not really searching for answers.
  2. he ended lower in yards (935 - almost 1000 surprisingly) and ypc (3.7) then his past three years, but as the season went on his ypc started to get better. That could be Nagy learning his players better and utilizing him more effectively later in the season. I doubt he's going anywhere, I bet they give it another year. eta: he also had 9 TD's this year.
  3. I bet Amos is the odd one out of that group with a 3rd rd SS being drafted to pair with Bush. Callahan is too valuable as is Massie. I see their draft going 3rd SS 4th OLB 5th TE 6th OL 7th WR 7th RB
  4. You could, but I'm guessing timing is pretty important on field goals. Trying to dupe the defense by snapping early seems like a good way to decrease your chances of making the field goal. With someone as terrible as Parkey what difference does it make? exactly
  5. That last drive was infuriating. 3 man pass rushes.
  6. The other thing thats maybe mire significant with regards to Parkey is that he was 76% accurate, which put him at the bottom of the league. Yes, clanking the uprights is annoying, but in general he sucks.
  7. He clanked an XP against the Vikings in Week 17 as well so yeah 6 Is that a record? I mean, 4 in one horsefeathering game has to be.
  8. I mean that, and collusion ?
  9. Well, that chills how I felt about Parkey on that kick, but I still dont think I gamble on him next season. He needs strong competition and the decry of doubt.
  10. well, he actually did by pointing out a trivial mistake in my comparison? that's where you want to go with this? you are not being rational. you feel that people are treating trubisky unfairly, so you're willingly turning into a meatball by going way too far in the opposite direction. trivial? you're the one who suggested raw "owned" your ass. you offered the comparison
  11. That was directed at the people arguing they shouldn’t, not the bears themselves I argued that they shouldn't play for the bye. They did, didn't get it, got a superior team in the playoffs, and lost the game. Not sure what your point is. yup. its the one thing I disagree with you about because I felt we could beat either teams and we should have
  12. So.....now it's not a quality start? I've lost sight of your point (as have you). yeah, you totally owned my ass well, he actually did
  13. But they did? That was directed at the people arguing they shouldn’t, not the bears themselves Nah. This is a lesson that when you are having a great season and 1 guy clearly isn’t on page, you need to get rid of him asap.
  14. He’s a nothing QB doing the bare minimum to win. His team caught his floaters enough to beat the bears because the bears qb did nothing all game. "QB has to play good to win" - Mitch outplayed Foles "Well he's a backup" -Foles is reigning SB MVP "Well, he did bare minimum, because Mitch did nothing" I've internet known you for like 20 years dude. You're smarter than this, and not a meatball. You're changing a bad argument and making it worse every time you comment. Not sure why you've chosen this character when discussing Mitch, especially after excusing every single thing Cutler ever did for 7 years. This is dumbfounding. I mean, I loooooooooved Cutler. Got Cutty come back bookmarked. But seriously WTF
  15. Foles is the reigning Superbowl MVP in his prime. Two can play this dumbass game. He’s a nothing QB doing the bare minimum to win. His team caught his floaters enough to beat the bears because the bears qb did nothing all game. Why do you waste you life the way you do? You have so much potential
  16. From 5 wins to facing the SB champions. But yes, thats all he needed to do, and giving the Miller gaf just before halftime, Mitch did more than enough. Sure, bail on Mitch. Ostracize Nagy, Pace and start over. Because Parkey is a cuddly teddy bear we all should love. I'm not doing any of that, and you probably know much more about football than me. It's just that when you consider the cost of getting him in the first place I, dont see how you can say that he did enough in this game when they scored 15 points and lost. trubisky has nothing to do with the defense. he doesn't get the benefit of lower expectations just because they are going to keep the score down. hes not some cheap journeyman that allowed them to use resources elsewhere. Clearly I do know more then you. 1) the game plan wasn’t Mitches to design. 2) he didnt commit the PI on defense 3) the team has never asked him to kick FGs 4) I love the guy, but Miller has to jump on his own loose ball. Rookie mistake. But mitch doesn’t possess the ability to get down field to do that for him. I don’t know any QB who can. Mitch is the guy. Parkey needs to float the other way.
  17. He was better than Foles. foles is a backup Not for long
  18. He did. He gave Parkey the kick. Twice. Parkey proved he could do it and he failed the bears were a 12 win team facing a wild card team at home. if just getting into position for your terrible kicker to make a game winner at the buzzer is all that is being asked of him, I guess the question becomes why are the expectations so low From 5 wins to facing the SB champions. But yes, thats all he needed to do, and giving the Miller gaf just before halftime, Mitch did more than enough. Sure, bail on Mitch. Ostracize Nagy, Pace and start over. Because Parkey is a cuddly teddy bear we all should love.
  19. Yuuuup. Mitch played fine and in the clutch, played the game we needed him to. They needed him to put up more than 16 points and he didn't He did. He gave Parkey the kick. Twice. Parkey proved he could do it and he failed
  20. He lost them the game and he lost them the first round bye too. Tough season for Parkey. Tough? If you don’t want to practice at Soldier Field maybe you should be replaced. And if you still suck after practicing there maybe you should take up typewriting.
  21. Nope. Made 3 kicks. Should have made the 4th and deserves blame but this is a collective loss. Defense, offense, ST. Go find some quaaludes
  22. Mitch had one good drive in the 4th when they got the TD and made a nice pass to Robinson in the 4th to get them in FG range. Outside of that, he was pretty mediocre especially in the first half. 15 points (should have been 18) in a home playoff game just isn't good enough, sorry. Keep saying that, but if Parkey makes the FG, they win. It was a very make-able FG. Therefore, Mitch literally did enough to win. The kicker blew it. Not saying that's the only play that determined the outcome. I'm sure Mitch missed some reads. Amos had a bad penalty, as did Amukamara. The defense didn't get enough pressure and missed some tackles. O'Donnell had a 32 yard punt late. Nagy didn't call a timeout after the Jeffery 1st down, which would have given the Bears 35 more seconds at the end. There were several plays that could have gone differently and made it so the Bears win this game. But if Parkey makes the FG, no other play matters as the Bears would have won. It is reasonable to expect an NFL kicker to make that kick. He hit the horsefeathering upright.
  23. No he wont. But NO will win. Mitch did his horsefeathering job. He got to within a range that every NFL kick should be confident at. Parkey blew it. The Bears blew it by giving him anything beyond this year in money. Draft a horsefeathering kicker. Mitch had one good drive in the 4th when they got the TD and made a nice pass to Robinson in the 4th to get them in FG range. Outside of that, he was pretty mediocre especially in the first half. 15 points (should have been 18) in a home playoff game just isn't good enough, sorry. What kinds if drugs do you do? Barbiturates?
  24. I'm sorry, but you guys are going to have to start putting some evidence with these statements. When was Mitch off target early (talking about legitimately missing passes) that prevented the team from scoring? I'm not at all claiming he was great. Just saying, he in no way prevented them from scoring more points as you and Goony are alluding to. Yuuuup. Mitch played fine and in the clutch, played the game we needed him to.
