    I know nobody wants to hear it but the real weak link is the former #2 overall pick at QB that is more ball control than playmaker. 15 points at home against a middle of the pack (15th by DVOA, 18th by weighted DVOA) is on the QB if you listen to the post-game, Nagy talks about holding the gameplan back in the first half and opening it up for Mitch in the second. His play showed that as well. Hard to blame the QB when he executes what the coach is calling unless you just don't like him.

    I'm not going to lambast Parkey anymore other then to say he was one of, if not the worst FG kicker in the NFL all season. 76% isn't good enough. It sucks he had that one blocked, but part of his job is getting the kick high enough to avoid the block. I hope he practices this offseason and comes back in pro-bowl form, but right now he is the weak link.

    Mizzell got 1 carry. That's not really searching for answers. Good point. I just remembered that carry on the first series and thinking "what is going on here?" anytime I see or hear Mizzell playing I think he's getting way too many carries....because he is. turns out its not a lot.

    he ended lower in yards (935 - almost 1000 surprisingly) and ypc (3.7) then his past three years, but as the season went on his ypc started to get better. That could be Nagy learning his players better and utilizing him more effectively later in the season. I doubt he's going anywhere, I bet they give it another year. eta: he also had 9 TD's this year.

    I bet Amos is the odd one out of that group with a 3rd rd SS being drafted to pair with Bush. Callahan is too valuable as is Massie. I see their draft going 3rd SS 4th OLB 5th TE 6th OL 7th WR 7th RB

    You could, but I'm guessing timing is pretty important on field goals. Trying to dupe the defense by snapping early seems like a good way to decrease your chances of making the field goal. With someone as terrible as Parkey what difference does it make? exactly

    The other thing thats maybe mire significant with regards to Parkey is that he was 76% accurate, which put him at the bottom of the league. Yes, clanking the uprights is annoying, but in general he sucks.

    Well, that chills how I felt about Parkey on that kick, but I still dont think I gamble on him next season. He needs strong competition and the decry of doubt.

    From 5 wins to facing the SB champions. But yes, thats all he needed to do, and giving the Miller gaf just before halftime, Mitch did more than enough. Sure, bail on Mitch. Ostracize Nagy, Pace and start over. Because Parkey is a cuddly teddy bear we all should love. I'm not doing any of that, and you probably know much more about football than me. It's just that when you consider the cost of getting him in the first place I, dont see how you can say that he did enough in this game when they scored 15 points and lost. trubisky has nothing to do with the defense. he doesn't get the benefit of lower expectations just because they are going to keep the score down. hes not some cheap journeyman that allowed them to use resources elsewhere. Clearly I do know more then you. 1) the game plan wasn’t Mitches to design. 2) he didnt commit the PI on defense 3) the team has never asked him to kick FGs 4) I love the guy, but Miller has to jump on his own loose ball. Rookie mistake. But mitch doesn’t possess the ability to get down field to do that for him. I don’t know any QB who can. Mitch is the guy. Parkey needs to float the other way.
