    if you had time to sit and prepare for the pitch, sure, but the video seemed to show the batter getting the info just before the pitcher goes into windup. There's not a whole lotta time to adjust to a pitch at the point, and thats where it can be detrimental to the batter rather then helpful. The only caveat is if the batter is sitting change up the ENTIRE AB and is told when one is coming, THEN he has a huge advantage. lol gtfo if Kris Bryant knew when changeups were coming he'd slug 1000 I know! Thats why I wish the Cubs did the same for him!

The only reason why I disagree is that if it didn't work very well or didn't help much at all, they wouldn't have kept doing it. That's where I wonder if the Astros were combining with scouting reports, ie they knew the WS pitcher threw hit-able change-ups, and thus were pinpointing that one pitch with the batter. In other words, telling their guys to sit change-up, and wait for the signal. They could expand that method to every team they play, every pitcher they face, by adjusting the batters expectations (ie sit change, sit FB) as they went. I mean, to me, its hard to lambast the level of dedication to win by using all sources available. I wish TheoCo would do that for KB, or better yet, Javy

    The disaster was you not watching the game. Well thats partially true. The stomach flu that helped me to sleep in until 2:pm cst was a bitch, but it still doesn’t explain anything about Whitehair/Daniels. How about helping your fellow fan out, were they turnstiles?

    So interested in this game. Time to find out how good Minnesota is. They won a few really close games early against fairly weak competition (by 7 over SD St, by 3 in OT over Fresno State, by 3 over Georgia Southern. Then their Big Ten schedule has been pretty light so far too but they obviously turned some sort of corner as they started blowing those teams out (by 23 vs. Illinois, by 27 vs. Nebraska, by 35 vs. Rutgers and by 42 against Maryland). Now 3 of their last 4 games are against PSU, Iowa and Wisconsin. Should be interesting. if we hadn't been blowing out the Big Ten teams, I'd be less excited. But as things are if we can beat Penn State, that would go alooonnng way to pushing the Minn football program forward. Considering losing Jerry Kill for health reasons, the defensive backfield running a train on some chick and all the crap that brought, coupled with my reservations towards PJ Fleck (I felt he was too unproven to truly turn around a BigTen program), I couldn't be more happy with the current results. We just extended PJ for 7 more years. Maybe he will be our Barry Alvarez. in any event, I will be watching this game with much anticipation.

    Happ ML games in CF: 130 Happ ML games at 2B: 59 Pro CF: 254 Pro 2B: 187 Just go get a glove first backup for him and the other two what I mean is his ability to field it at a higher level then, say, Heyward. If Heywards glove is better, then why not play him at CF and look for a solid RF'er? Is it true that a defense of Schwarber/Happ/Heyward is better then a Schwarber/Heyward/Castellanos OF? And when you factor their bats, is Happ an upgrade over Castellanos?

    I agree with this overall, but I'm not sure I love him in CF. We just don't know enough of his ability to play it to give him a full time seat there imo. I'd rather he was our 2b with Nico in the wings.
