  1. VALID THEORY. Thats exactly what happened to Lou Piniella. .
  2. Did you not watch the Lions game? I missed it. Enlighten us plz. What was the disaster?
  3. true, I missed the whole Houston connection with the apologies although I didn't think he threw more then 7 pitches when he was with LA
  4. as if Willson can actually keep track of all the signs himself
  5. Boy, I sure hope the Cubs don't hire any of those dirty cheaters who are really good at cheating. No sir! who you kidding? you cheat all the time! you cheat yourself when you only hike on flat land! jk, cheat away cheaters
  6. there's Pennitentiary States make up call edgy Edgy? I thought criminal justice was one of the top areas of study there
  7. there's Pennitentiary States make up call
  8. couldn't be happier with that first half
  9. So interested in this game. Time to find out how good Minnesota is. They won a few really close games early against fairly weak competition (by 7 over SD St, by 3 in OT over Fresno State, by 3 over Georgia Southern. Then their Big Ten schedule has been pretty light so far too but they obviously turned some sort of corner as they started blowing those teams out (by 23 vs. Illinois, by 27 vs. Nebraska, by 35 vs. Rutgers and by 42 against Maryland). Now 3 of their last 4 games are against PSU, Iowa and Wisconsin. Should be interesting. if we hadn't been blowing out the Big Ten teams, I'd be less excited. But as things are if we can beat Penn State, that would go alooonnng way to pushing the Minn football program forward. Considering losing Jerry Kill for health reasons, the defensive backfield running a train on some chick and all the crap that brought, coupled with my reservations towards PJ Fleck (I felt he was too unproven to truly turn around a BigTen program), I couldn't be more happy with the current results. We just extended PJ for 7 more years. Maybe he will be our Barry Alvarez. in any event, I will be watching this game with much anticipation.
  10. well, yea, but thats better then total group-think
  11. I can't help to read this as
  12. Happ ML games in CF: 130 Happ ML games at 2B: 59 Pro CF: 254 Pro 2B: 187 Just go get a glove first backup for him and the other two what I mean is his ability to field it at a higher level then, say, Heyward. If Heywards glove is better, then why not play him at CF and look for a solid RF'er? Is it true that a defense of Schwarber/Happ/Heyward is better then a Schwarber/Heyward/Castellanos OF? And when you factor their bats, is Happ an upgrade over Castellanos?
  13. I agree with this overall, but I'm not sure I love him in CF. We just don't know enough of his ability to play it to give him a full time seat there imo. I'd rather he was our 2b with Nico in the wings.
  14. (4) Penn State at (17) Minnesota (12 pm, ABC) VERY EXCITED
  15. the deep pass shows it, if it doesn't develop exactly as it was dialed up and wide open he cant decide what to do.
  16. Who is that terrible douchebag? Don’t answer that. Just never bring it up again. Jesse Pinkman
  17. Mitch should just start to realize that teams are playing straight up on his ass because no one believes he's smart enough to beat them regardless of how they play him
  18. his quiet demeanor and soft touch will aid him well as a coach
  19. i'd take that candy corn all day long thank you
  20. Going into the Charger game, he had only missed a single field goal, and not a single extra point. He had made 20 out of 21 kicks (combined XP and FG). So because he wasn't perfect for the season at that point, he wasn't playing all that great? That's a weird hot take. So it was a gimme! pretty close to it
  21. how does missing by inches make the wind less of a factor? again, not saying it's an excuse for this kick but are you saying the wind is only a factor if a kick is missed by a mile? at this point I'm 98% spitballing. But I do think Pineiro hasnt been all that great and has work to do in order to not become the next Parkey. He's not playing all that well
  22. he missed the filed goal by inches. the field wanst the issue. the weather wasnt the issue. he just flat out aimed poorly, ever so slightly poorly, but poorly. it had plenty of distance and its not medical waste it was ground up industrial waste from Gary Indiana
  23. It was 50° with a 6 mph wind in full daylight. The stadium was not a factor last Sunday.
  24. I'm not saying Nagy shouldn't have, he definitely should have done so. That's why (among other reasons) Nagy sucked. But I cant forget that Pineiro should be able to nail that kick. One stupid decision/mistake piling onto another stupid decision/mistake is the recipe for a perfect disaster.
