  1. Lucky you. As far as the game this week its a big one. If we win and go into the bye week 4-1 having played without Gore for essentially 3 games we will be in really really good position. If we go in 3-2 we could come out of the bye week tied for the division lead. Its a home game and judging by how our defense has fared I would say we should be favored. Turner shouldn't do much and we have the LB's capable of covering Gonzo as well as CB's to cover White.
  2. LOL Wht? Has 28 tackles through 4 games. On pace for 112. Not amazing but hardley "irrelevant" 1 tackle for loss and 1 sack. I think I'd rather have Jared Allen with his hand on the ground rushing the passer than dropping into coverage a good percentage of the time and making tackles 5 yards down the field. Its his 4th game as a OLB. I would rather have Jared Allen period. You know the Packers better than I do, but he was your impact guy in the front. He had 39 sacks the last 3 years. He has 1 tackle for loss in 4 games in his new spot and simply doesn't look comfortable. He was an impact player as a 4-3 DE. Granted it's early in the transition but he looks like just another guy as a 3-4 standup OLB. If they are going to make him an OLB mineaswell make him practically a pure pass rushing one. You can move him around like a LB but have him rush a large majority of the time. He probably wouldn't get as many sacks as he has gotten in years past but the defense would probably be better off than it is currently as well as better than in recent years.
  3. this is getting embarrassing. You realize the last post was sarcasm right?
  4. The last couple questions were pretty funny. That was mainly due to Favre's sarcasm on the "be remembered for something."
  5. It should be a lot lower of a chance than that. Actually, it's a bit over 1/6, given the possibly bad stats (40% chance of one succeeding) I saw Yes but I'm assuming that 1/6 is for a simple 1 time try. Getting a 2-pt conversion two times in a row multiplys the chances to a much less likely ratio. I don't remember the exact formula but it is not simply the percentage of all the 2-pt tries added up. There is some sort of formula that multiples it for when it has to happen twice in a row. an individual try has a 40% chance of succeeding. .4 squared is .16. .16*6=.96, so it's a little more than 1/6 Nope I still refuse to believe you [-(

  8. Nothing like general posts about a fanbase. What words are they eating? That Aaron Rodgers is still better than Favre? I'm trying to figure it out too. Its IMB trolling. He used to post all the time. Now he just posts when he knows it will annoy/anger people. Waits until it comes at a time that it will get a reastion.
  9. No they wont. And the dog might have caught the rabbit had he not stopped to take a [expletive] too. I guess we'll just have to settle for seven national championships lol Sound just like a Cardinal fan..... Sounds like a discussion that belongs in the college football thread.
  10. I have never muted my TV during a game I was actually watching intently but I'm about to if they don't stop doing the we're not worthy crap towards Favre.
  11. Do people really call him that? Why not? I dunno, it's kind of ineffective since it's the nickname of one of the most popular baseball players in the world. Yeah you don't reuse a nickname that has become the person's name, especially when the first player is still playing. I rarely here him called Alex Rodriguez. It's just A-Rod. The exception to this rule is LT.
  12. I've signed up for all three. I however used Myspace before it blew up to compete against my brother in games (it was before they redid the whole site). Twitter I signed up for a year ago and have updated my status maybe 5 times. Facebook I use every day.
  13. He also said Hutson is the best receiver of all time instead of Rice.
  14. 18-12 is, at best, a slightly worse than unacceptable ratio. It is not, ever, for any reason, in the history of the universe, 'good'. Didn't say good said above average. A +6 ratio was 13th best last year. Above average like I said.
  15. Brown can't be factored in. He has been injured every season. Your post makes no sense though. You complain about the pundits saying it was a mistake to let Riveria go yet defend him by pointing out injuries/decline of players. I really have no idea what your talking about. I'm just saying Riveria is a decent DC, nothing more nothing less. In Chicago when his players were healthy he looked great. Yet people point to his exit as the downfall of the D, which isn't true. Not quite sure where you are going with this. Now I see what you're trying to say. You might want to make your points clearer been a couple I've had to read multiple times to figure out what you meant.

  17. Starters off the top of my head I would take over Orton: Manning, Brady, Brees, Roethlisberger, Warner, E. Manning, McNabb, Romo, Ryan, Rivers, Schaub, Garrard, Favre, Rodgers, Hasselbeck, and Flacco. And then you could throw in the fact that no one in their right mind would take Orton over Stafford or Sanchez as a long term solution. I guess you could say Orton is in the next group with the Shaun Hills and Matt Cassels of the world. I don't see how that puts him at "easily above average" for starting QBs. I have no idea why you would want Hasselbeck more. He has had one good season in the last four and can't stay healthy at all anymore. As far as the taking Stafford and Sanchez stuff, if you do that then Favre and Hasselbeck are dropped from the list. Obviously I have a huge bias for Purdue players but a QB who had a good ratio, on a team that has crappy receivers and the coach didn't open up the playbook until late in the season I would say is above average.
  18. The Cubs win total.
  19. HE JUST WINS I don't know how people can criticize a QB who has 5 TD's, no picks and has led his team to a 4-0 record. Orton sucks. The pixie dust will come off soon enough. I don't think he's very good, he's average at best. But it amuses me how much Bears fans have turned against him and hope he fails just to make the Cutler trade look that much better from their point of view. Don't forget this was a guy that many loved for his neckbeard and other interesting activities as well. There's no doubt that Cutler would have the Broncos at 4-0 too, but it amazes me why people continue to compare the two. It was a good trade for both teams as the Bears got their franchise QB and the Broncos got a couple of high draft picks the next few years. They're two extremely different QB's, so I don't really get the comparisons. Average at best? He's pretty easily above average. He had an 18-12 ratio with the Bears last year. Considering the Bears receivers, that is much better than average. But yeah I agree with the rest.

  22. I like it.
  23. Darren Sharper Hall of Fame? Now has 59 INT and 10 return TD's.
  24. I was worried for awhile but then the defense decided to score when the offense couldn't.
  25. I'm pretty sure that's false. Why not? He completely shut down Randy Moss last week and is completely shutting down Colston this game. Both times he matched up 1 on 1 a lot.
