    If the Phillies had a rotation including Cole Hamels and Jake Peavy, I'd quit everything there is to quit. Just sayin'.

    I don't understand why the Phillies would want to help the Cubs get Jake Peavy. I mean, they are kind of defending Champions. The Cubs getting Peavy with their help doesn't look good...does it? I myself don't believe that they are involved though, so whatever.

    I think at this point, Hendry is going to do whatever it takes (well at least, I hope so). For the RF thing, would we be content with Luke Scott? He's cheap, but put up some alright numbers last year. He's the left-handed bat we're looking for. I don't know...we'll see what Jimbo can do.

    Nobody said they wanted to trade all those guys to get Peavy. Well technically, yes they did. Not to the Padres, but to other teams to clear payroll to get Peavy.

    I just don't understand why Hendry doesn't give Towers what he wants. It's Jake freakin' Peavy. Do what you have to do.

    I don't like that 4th year option at all. Should've been both player and team, not just player. He could pitch like absolute garbage, or not even pitch at all if he's injured; and accept that $14M option. I would've let him walk.
