  1. Our line up looks so deep now. We have at least five home run hitters (or at least close) in Soriano, Ramirez, Soto, Bradley and Lee. Hopefully we're not a home run or nothing team though.
  2. I'm guessing if he plays X number of games, or something along the lines.
  3. When I first read this, I was shocked. That's very cheap for a guy coming off a good season, with a Championship winning team.
  4. Why does it seem like the NL West teams get free agent big money guys and they fall off the face of the earth? Andruw Jones Jason Schmidt Juan Pierre Aaron Rowand (not as bad) Barry Zito
  5. I did good last year, except for that playoff game. Sign me up!
  6. CF Fukudome 2B DeRosa 3B Ramirez C Soto RF Bradley LF Soriano 1B Lee SS Theriot Pitcher
  7. Oh boy...here we go again. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s140/abefrohmancubsfan/itsgonnahappensmall.jpg
  8. I'd rather not make the playoffs knowing I'd be heart broken at the end.
  9. The Marlins made it seem like it'd be easier to get Peavy than Hermida.
  10. Even if Soto goes down with an injury? That wasn't in the equation. I don't feel we should have a catcher that won't get many games in the season for that much money.
  11. Oh god...not again. I want Peavy, but I don't want all these stupid reports. "We got him!" and "Nope, sorry Cubs." Can't handle it anymore.
  12. I'd rather have Koyie Hill as my back up catcher than Brian Schneider.
  13. I think they got him because (a.) He was on the Red Sox or (b.) His last name.
  14. I'm not in favor of getting him with the price tag associated with him, but a Samardzija/Gregg/Fuentes trio looks very good giving the ball to Marmol.
  15. It'd be nice having one of our guys destroy balls to Sheffield Ave on a regular basis.
  16. Maybe NL West is more accurate.
  17. Easily take the $150MM to play for a winner. When you're making over $100MM, does $10MM really matter at that point?
  18. Unless the Brewers get a few decent pitchers in FA, I don't see them being better than 3rd. Here's my prediction: Cubs Cardinals Astros Brewers Reds Pirates
  19. http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q121/mjhteen07/prod.jpg Sorry, I had to.
  20. Mike Hampton and Aaron Boone in the same Off-Season? Give them the trophy already!
