  1. Poor Braves. Wonder if this will take the Dodgers out of the Manny sweepstakes.
  2. The ESPN article makes it sound like he'll be on the 25 man roster. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3773325
  3. Definitely not. He's the definition of untouchable for the O's. If Tampa called and said they would trade David Price straight up for him I am sure the O's would do it. Well of course there's exceptions, but they wouldn't take our garbage for him.
  4. Definitely not. He's the definition of untouchable for the O's.
  5. I'm not in favor of it. Maybe after we get a right fielder if we have any money left over, which is highly unlikely.
  6. good But that says nothing about his desire to hit in the event. It only says he doesn't want to pitch. :D He probably doesn't want to hurt the other pitchers, either. (confidence wise) :P
  7. Let's put him at first.
  8. good Thank god.
  9. Maybe Towers and Hendry were sick of all of the media attention around the trade and decided to say discussions were dead, only to talk behind everyone's back. 8-) Just kidding. Would make sense though.
  10. Are you factoring in the amount each will be getting paid? I assume so because it's not even a discussion if you aren't. That said, I doubt there's room in the budget for Manny. No, I simply said I'd pick Manny over Burrell if we had the money. It doesn't matter though, we're getting someone who can bat left handed.
  11. If we were going to get a right hander instead of left hander, I'd want Manny, not Burrell.
  12. Burke would be interesting. I remember the Astros were going to put him at 2nd after Biggio retired, but later traded him. But he can play outfield and infield, so that helps.
  13. Wasn't Lowe demanding something like $15M a year? No thanks.
  14. Nice, Reed is a good player. Favorite memory from him was that catch against the Nats early in the year.
  15. Thank god. Let's go and get Bradley now.
  16. The title of this thread is depressing. Just sayin'.
  17. I highly doubt the Mets would exercise Putz' $9.1M option next year. If they do, wow. Nice trade for the M's, nonetheless.
  18. Except it became pretty clear that they matched up perfectly fine for what SD wanted. He probably means pitching wise.
  19. If Bradley is asking 4/40, I'd rather go after Dunn. But since we aren't even discussing him, I want Bradley out of the options we have.
  20. Josh Vitters better be the next A-Rod. I kid, I kid. Kind of mad about this, but at the same time not really. We have to get that right fielder right now. Give us something to be happy about.
