  1. Will the loser of the season series get gold medals so they don't feel left out?
  2. I believe we'll trade one of our veterans, just not sure which one. It'll be an interesting summer to see what moves are made to this disastrous team.
  3. http://i48.tinypic.com/2zt93c3.jpg Mark Buehrle: 3-6, 5.40 ERA http://i45.tinypic.com/18f7uq.jpg Carlos Silva: 8-0, 2.93 ERA White Sox: Buerhle only netted three innings and gave up six runs in his last start, but he was taken off the hook when his counterpart, Jake Westbrook, also gave up six runs and allowed Buehrle to sneak by with a no-decision despite his poor outing. Buehrle threw 95 pitches despite only going those three innings. Buehrle's outing was over as soon as Lou Marson, who had not homered before in the season, took Buehrle deep with two runners on base to bring his earned run total to six runs. Lifetime against the crosstown rival Cubs, Buehrle is 4-4 with a 4.58 ERA in 11 starts. Cubs: Silva tossed seven innings in his last start in Pittsburgh on Monday, surrendering one run on four hits and got the win. He made history, becoming the first Cubs starter since Ken Holtzman, who went 9-0 in 1967, to open a season with eight wins and no losses. Silva joined some pretty special company, considering the last pitcher in the Major Leagues to do that with any team was CC Sabathia, who went 8-0 in his first 10 starts with the Brewers in 2008. He also became the first Cubs starter to begin his Cubs career 8-0 in 100 years. King Cole started 8-0 back in 1910.
  4. That makes no sense at all. Both teams have the day off tomorrow. Pirates are at home on Friday, so they don't have to go anywhere. MLB is 0 for 2 on the night.
  5. Kaplan tweeted this. I laughed and stopped reading.
  6. Hopefully this helps Hendry make his decision.
  7. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/box-scores/boxscore.php?boxid=200706290CHN So far, so good.
  8. Kershaw has been dominant his last three times out. Let's hope the off-day helps us more than hurts us.
  9. Haha that was a bad strike call. Cubs win the series!
