    I have an irrational appreciation for Rick Sutcliff. I don't know why, and I don't listen to enough of his ESPN broadcasts to know whether he's a meatball or open minded in the realm of advanced metrics, but I dig his style.

    Oh, and hitting. He has trouble hitting. And for someone who was called "The Greek God of walks" I always wondered why he was never the best in the league at drawing walks. He drew 91 walks in 2006, then never drew higher than 77 in any other year... and he only did that twice (77 in 2007 and 2009).

    Petitioning for the Cubs to bid on him this offseason. Can he still play 3rd? As far as I know. He just has trouble staying on the field for a full season at this point

    If there wasn't a second wild card, they would have played out of their minds in September while the Braves tanked (see 2011). A rational fan from another fan base would say "Don't be ridiculous". But I believe that it would indeed go down like that with every fiber of my being.
