  1. Holy crap, I didn't even realize he was doing so well. I have him on one of my fantasy teams and he was off to such a rough start the first two weeks I didn't even notice he turned it around so much. He's also currently on a 12-game hitting streak In other crazy numbers: Yu Darvish's K/9 right now is 14.2  He's struck out 10 or more batters 4 of his 7 starts and struck out 14 in two of them. He has 72 strikeouts in 45.2 innings of work.
  2. LaHair is currently hitting .298/.360/.579/.939 with 8 homers and 25 RBI in 30 games over there, too. Good to see he's doing well.
  3. Starling Marte is on pace for a 26 homers, 84 RBI, 52 stolen bases and 125 runs scored season
  4. At least the Red Sox's 10 OPS+ outfielder is going to actually be serviceable one day and was just too young for the job
  5. And my remorse for trading him away in my fantasy keeper league for the younger and more-affordable-to-keep Jesus Montero continues to grow

  8. J.P. Arencibia is at 39% and leads the AL in home runs
  9. TIL that Ricky Nolasco and his 77 wins makes him the all-time Marlins wins leader
  10. 11 Home Runs 16 RBI 10 of his 11 home runs have been solo shots. His brother and Heyward have been doing an awful job of setting the table for him.
  11. Sweet. Rizzo for Votto. Problem solved
  12. Overreactionary lurker is overreactionary
  13. That's what happens when you have a healthy Tulowitzki and Gonzalez in your lineup. And an improved Dexter Fowler who figured out how to hit a baseball away from Coors Field. They're killing the ball right now. They have 4 guys with an OPS above 1.000. Carlos Gonzalez's OPS is 1.207 CarGo has already put up 1.1 WAR  And Jon Garland has been their best starter so far. Upton already has a 1.5 bWAR. I figured he'd be better, but I genuinely thought Upton wasn't going to be this good. I guess the whole "change of scenery" theory worked in this situation.

  15. So the Jose Fernandez experiment is working out well for the Marlins thus far. 2GS 11.0IP 5H 1ER 3BB 13K 0.82ERA 0.73WHIP

  17. Heh, Brett Anderson tied his career high against them today
  18. you have nothing better to worry about? your like a crotchety old women His name is "Fujikawa." It's easy to remember, spell, and pointlessly shaving off four letters makes you sound like a 5-year-old or Mike Quade. Have fun championing the effort to curb people from calling him that over the next few years
  19. Meanwhile the Cubs hit .121 over the 3 games and won 2. The Cubs and Pittsburgh have the best pitching in baseball, duh

  21. Didn't realize the game as already on. Not sure if offenses suck today or pitching is just tremendously good
  22. That's messed up, though I doubt the mascot is the one who made it. Also, "Rays" are no longer associated with stingrays, they are referring to sunshine rays... so that makes no sense.
