  2. Is it not Clay Buchholz? I checked a few days ago. EDIT: Well [expletive]. I guess tacking on 8 scoreless 3-hit innings will do that for you. P.S. James Russel has the 3rd highest bWAR in the NL among relievers (tied with Justin Wilson at 1.2 bWAR), behind only Edward Mujica and Rex Brothers (who has a 2.0 bWAR in 25.2 innings).
  3. It shouldn't be a surprise that elderly New Yorkers are flocking to south Florida in an attempt to prolong their lives. =D>
  4. He was working on his Terminator
  5. To be fair, it's not showing the whole AB, as the pitcher winds up he comes out of that ridiculous crouch to be in a much more natural looking stance, though his pre-swing stance is still very open. It's basically his timing mechanism.
  6. I know he was arrested for it a while ago, but now it's official... Milton Bradley was convicted of abusing his wife and faces a possible 7.5 years in prison http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/story/_/id/9339514/former-los-angeles-dodger-milton-bradley-convicted-abusing-wife
  7. My sophomoric humor kicked in and I laughed pretty hard at the fact this town name exists. I'm not proud of myself.
  8. Adderall made me consider changing my major to Geology. Then I studied for my next Geology test without Adderall and wanted to throw the book through the window.
  9. According to an ADHD buddy of mine, his doctor told him that the highest dosage of Adderall you can legally be given is basically low grade cocaine. I've taken it before in college to help study, and it certainly worked. There's a reason students abuse it so much, it can be addictive but it truly does help you focus a lot, though I'm guessing Mr. Gray isn't taking any summer classes at the moment.
  10. I just find it funny that sometime last offseason Hoyer said something to the effect of "Putting together the bullpen is arguably the easiest part of building a MLB team" and since they've been here it's been a relative disaster that they can't seem to get right. I'd rather trade away expendable offensive assets like DeJesus and whatnot for relief help rather than trade away one of the few bright spots in the bullpen for more prospects. They've got expendable starters like Feldman and/or Garza to trade away for prospects if that's what they want to do. IMO, they shouldn't dismantle the best parts of the already shitty bullpen and make it worse in the name of the future when they've got other assets that can do that for them.
  11. Ramon Ortiz exits game with elbow injury and he apparently knows right off the bat it's a probable career ender and loses it. Pretty heartbreaking... http://wapc.mlb.com/play?content_id=27700385 That being said, I'm shocked he was able to even find work for so long on a major league roster, given his numbers. He's been a truly awful pitcher the vast majority of his career
  12. I wonder if he's avoiding his changeup at the behest of the coaching staff
  13. Dodgers are promoting Yasiel Puig
  14. Holy [expletive] I didn't realize he'd been so bad. I have to assume Frank Wren wouldn't be foolish enough to sell low on Heyward when he's still extremely young.
  15. Yeah I don't recall any Headley rumors either. I know many folks on here liked him as a trade target but I think an actual rumor would've been widely discussed and I don't recall that at all.
  16. Speaking of the Marlins... http://espn.go.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/id/36507/marlins-sink-to-new-lows-on-the-field
  17. But he did this: http://wapc.mlb.com/play/?content_id=19127709 Soooooooooooo yeeeaaahhhh... wait. No, no you're right he sucks. 25 years old Plays 3rd base Nice power Not so nice OBP Sure, why the heck not. Because Valbuena, Ransom, Vitters, and Stewart are all better or comparable and hogging all the playing time in our upper levels. Francisco is redundant in the Cubs system. And like Kyle said, his K and BB rates are dog [expletive], and have been his entire career.
  18. This one's my favorite... http://i.imgur.com/EsUrZmx.gif
  19. I never bothered to look up to see why he hates it... found this video:
  20. Random Randomness: I had no idea that Jedd Gyorko's last name was pronounced Jerk-O
  21. Huzzah!
