Francisco Liriano got all sorts of fucked up from TJS, but I think they determined it was mostly mental because after his surgery he was apparently not confident in throwing his slider out of fear of getting injured again and he wasn't throwing as hard either. He's been an odd case. When he showed up his rookie year though he was friggin' ridiculous

There's a difference between having an attitude problem and being a douche bag. Sure, you can be accounted for both, but Garza was more douche than cancer.

What the hell? He got caught trying to go to second and instead of attempting to beat the throw or get caught in a pickle or try and get back to first, he just stood there and gave up. I understand conceding the out, but that was some grade A level laziness on his part.

He strikes out a lot and doesn't walk all that much and doesn't hit for average and so far has been rated as a below average defensive first baseman. He hits for power. That's about it. He's basically Adam Dunn without the patience as far as I can tell.

Only thing I hear from Gary Thorne is his home run calls on the mlb.com video replays. I like his delivery. Can't say much for his intelligence level, though.

He's a first baseman? Exactly. If the NL had the DH I'm sure there'd be some talk of going after him, but we got Rizzo. And I personally think Rizzo > Abreu.
