  1. I for one am shocked that Ozzie Albies drove in a run at the first opportunity against the Cubs
  2. I thought so on initial viewing... think he got a piece after the replay
  3. Contreras brothers having totally normal weeks in regards to throwing bats
  4. Zaidman is soooo bad even though he's been filling in for Pat for so long. Dude just doesn't read what's happening on the field and still gets way overexcited half the time
  5. Nobody has an exact answer, as none of us have any involvement in the gameplan. We can make reasonable assumptions, like maybe his slider works so well because of how little he throws it, or that maybe he doesn't throw it much because he doesn't have a lot of confidence in it. I don't know what you're expecting
  6. I'll be satisfied if they're a top 10 scoring offense. Something like the Bengals' season last year would be cool
  7. It's also essentially an extra bye week later in the season where they can rest players and get healthy for the final few games.
  8. Definitely had a "no no no no yes!!" Moment at the end there. Thank goodness for Nico
  9. I'm trying to decide if those catches were deceptively hard, or if Caissie just made them look that way
  10. The only Cubs who should ever be going on contact with the infield in are Nico and PCA... and even then you should probably not most of the time. I'm pretty sure Ian Happ has never scored on the contact play in the MLs
  11. Can they make a move between games? Like, they pitch Little in game 1, then send him down and call up Taillon?
  12. just inventing ways to lose... this team is ridiculous
  13. That might be effectively career ending for him. Heartbreaking for a guy who has fought through so many health issues to become a big league regular.
  14. In the most technical sense, sure... At least I am excited to watch Cade against a good lineup
  15. I think part of Tucker's struggles are the fact that everyone else is tanking and they just don't have to pitch him the same way. With Seiya and PCA especially struggling, there's nobody behind him teams are worried about, so his OBP is holding steady but his slugging has gone in the tank because anecdotally, it seems like pitchers don't have to challenge him in the zone most of the time right now
  16. so the Brewers continue to get every break known to man, and tonight an obviously bad call costs the Cubs at least a chance to keep the game alive
