Joe will use 7 different lead off guys in the first week and a half in September after we clinch the division in August and the whole roster goes on a bender with Theo.
I think they should lead with "Javy already knows your name, and he hasn't bothered to learn the names of half the guys in the organization. In fact, he just called John Mallee "bat guy" the entire time he was here, and he was one of our coaches."
Is there another melo or is the famous one really still somebody teams would want to sign in 2019? How old is he, 35? Duh Fab Melo Ummm... http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/18668751/former-syracuse-boston-celtics-center-fab-melo-dies-brazil
The Simeon thing was pretty much secondary. Taking away a kid's scholarship 4 hours before he's ready to announce is really scummy. It's also pretty pathetic that Mac Irvin basically controls who is and isn't going to UofI now He only had that control in years where he is delivering the#1 player in the state. Yeah, and if you're getting in bed with a HS/AAU coach, you could do a lot worse than one with ties to some of the best in '19 (Francis Okoro, Kahlil Whitney, EJ LIddell) and '20 (Adam Miller)
I feel like this season was like watching the sequel to your favorite movie. You counted down the days til it premiered, tracked all the news and reviews, and then settled in to watch it. It was good, and definitely had moments that reminded you of why you loved the last one so much, but ultimately just couldn’t live up to the expectations set by the one before. So it was a letdown, but mostly because the previous one was so good that it would be impossible to top.
Man, I wish there was some kind of precedent for what the Cubs might do against Kershaw when seeing him for the second time in the NLCS... https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN201610220.shtml
