    Congrats to all you life-long Hawks fans. While I think it's awesome that they won last night, I'm not going to pretend that it means 5% as much to me as it does to you guys. Enjoy it!

    KU is pretty screwed......I don't know about academics, but in terms of athletics, they don't bring much with football, while no one wants their basketball team to come in and destroy their conference

    if Nebraska (or whoever) was announced tonight, when would they start playing? The Big Ten schedules are already set at least 3 years in advance. Also, would the Big 12 dump them on the spot, or would they keep playing until the Big 10 was ready for them?

    At this point in their careers, definitely. And I guess the lineup Wood faced wasn't that bad: Grudz Santangelo Vladdy Fullmer Vidro Widger Andrews Wood went 4 2/3, 4 ER, 3 BB, 7 K, 102 pitches Mark Prior's debut (vs. the Pirates): 6 IP, 2 ER, 2 BB, 10 K, 103 pitches

    It's the Pirates. I say 7+ innings 4 hits 1 walk 9 K's 1 ER 100 pitches I know it's the pirates. But Kerry Wood debuted against a god-awful Expos team and didn't even last 5 innings. I'm just expecting him to be good and not great in his debut

    seems like every pass is fluttering and bouncing for the Hawks. They can't get off a clean look or clean pass to save their lives

    the first goal was soft the second goal was a bad rebound, but the defenseman passed it right to the Philly player the third goal was entirely on the Hawks defense, not on Niemi. Nobody was going to save that goal

    flyers are faster, crisper, and more aware right now. Hawks look tired and unfocused
