    They do play one fewer conference game than all the other big-time schools, but it's refreshing that most of them take that extra flexibility and schedule some teams with a pulse.     Paterno's not a mascot. He does a lot of prep coaching during the week and makes overall adjustments during the game. He's always let his coordinators do the playcalling during the game
