Ah if only we could produce the type of talent that Penn St. was bringing in. I don't spend every off season pretending that my team is just one good recruiting class away from a title. In fact, I don't follow PSU recruiting at all.

Illinois fans are nothing if not consistent. Every off season is full of hope with all these future stars and prospects, and every season is a bitch fest about how none of them pan out

More coming out today on Terrelle Pryor. The 3 kids who were suspended last week for accepting $200 at a charity event were given the money by TP (via a booster). Apparently he was hooking up his boys. So between this, loaner cars, the tattoo scandal, selling game stuff for $40,000, etc., how much more stuff will come out? And why is Tressell still defending him?

I retook the quiz right after I created it and still missed like 5 or 6. The starting QB field this year is as weak as I've seen in some time. Not sure how they pick the front-page quizzes. It's had about 250 plays since I published it 18 hours ago (which is better than the 45 plays all-time on the other quiz I made).

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Big East continue to exist as a non-football conference. There are plenty of schools in it that either have no football program at all, or an FCS (or lower) level program. DePaul, Villanova, Seton Hall, Georgetown, etc., etc. will still make a very good basketball (and other sports) conference

i swear i thought rob boldin left school. He requested a transfer but Paterno denied it nice guy, that one Getting in on this late, but Rob Bolden and his father requested a transfer after the bowl game and before the Spring semester started. Since scholarships are binding for 1 full year and he was only in school for 1 semester, a transfer request because of playing time is absurd. Why would Joe be a "nice guy" and allow it, giving him 1 usable QB for all of Spring, Summer, and into the 2011 season? The Bolden's were trying to transfer based on emotion, Joe knew that, and everything worked out. For now. Both QB's looked like poop yesterday. It's gonna be a tough year if they can't run the ball against the better teams

They're not going to give Prince Fielder the kind of money he'll be getting to play DH/part time 1B. He's a 1B, and those teams that don't need 1B will be in rumors simply to raise the price. correct. the Yankees will spend their money on pitching. the Angels have plenty of bats to fill 1B and DH. Fielder isn't bumping A-Gon in Boston
