  1. The best athletes in history were egotistical a-holes. Jordan is near the top of that list
  2. 21 offensive boards for the Bulls. Crazy
  3. Sign Williams and Cutler won't need receivers, as the defense will give up approximately 1.7 ppg
  4. they can't because every Bull has 5 fouls
  5. these refs must be paid by the foul tonight. at least the fouls against the Bulls
  6. I just want to know the recipe of the steak marinade at Chipotle
  7. everyone on both teams hate these refs, though the Knicks are benefitting WAY more from these terrible calls.
  8. I'm thinking there's some misreporting going on there. That deal is a dream for the Bulls. That would be a major, ballsy move by Gar. If Howard won't commit to an extension then you face the real possibility of giving Howard's (formerly occupied by Deng-Boozer-Asik) cap number to two guys like Gerald Wallace and Eric Gordon, unless you think you can sign-and-trade (still viable under the new CBA?) Howard to LA for Gasol and someone else. You can sign and trade, but Howard would still have to leave the 30 million behind in that scenario. He doesn't get to use his Bird rights and also do a sign and trade. And while that deal would work this offseason, after next year teams like the Lakers won't be able to acquire sign and trade players because of being so far above the luxury tax. The "losing 30 million" thing is quite overblown. It's just the extra year that he loses, not AAV. At age 26, Howard would be hitting his next free agent year a year younger, which would set him up for a better contract. I think it favors him more than hurts him
  9. there are a dozen of us at NSBB who could do better photoshops than that
  10. Beltran was 4.4 rWAR and 4.7 fWAR last year. Yeah, the 1 WAR part was only with his time with the Giants. my bad. also, I have no idea what the [expletive] rWAR or fWAR mean, but anywho.....
  11. The Brewers were 6 games above their pythagorean record last year. Fielder was a ~5 WAR player. Ramirez was the only decent addition to the lineup. The Cardinals were 2 games above their pythag and Pujols was also a ~ 5 WAR player. Beltran was only a 1 WAR player last year and is 34 years old.
  12. Yeah, am I the only one here who JUST learned that it's pronounced "Ceasar"? I always assumed it was [shzuhr] or something
  13. Terrific win considering the health issues
  14. Sorry guys, fixed now

  16. cause it's a great story? it WAS a great story. now he's just an okay player if people like him, great. i just don't understand the people who are relishing his failures or are upset that he's padding his stats
  17. Now ESPN is reporting it.
  18. Saw an unconfirmed report that the Redskins have traded up to #2 and will pick RG3 ETA: so unconfirmed that no one is picking up on it. Nothing to see here
  19. I wonder about people who care about him at all, good or bad. he's just a player on a bad team
  20. ohgoddammit
  21. by best, you mean "the one posted at the start of the thread"? Yes, except for the fact that they're different. they're both Arencibia
  22. by best, you mean "the one posted at the start of the thread"?
  23. How is it that so many people consider Deng to be just an okay player? Is Howard enough of an upgrade over Noah to make up for the downgrade at SF by losing Deng?
  24. ESPN is acting like he died
