  1. What makes you think I like this dump?
  2. I've been to Reddit once or twice. It's such a visual mess that it wasn't even worth digging into. I tried reading one of the AMA's and couldn't figure out what the hell was going on
  3. Maybe he really really hates the Nationals?
  4. Only one weekend series at PIT. Damn
  5. I can tell the speed of a pitch off of a soft toss machine by the sound it makes
  6. Twitter is awful for discussion. It's a mess to read. It's amazing as a place for consolidating a bunch of news sources and stuff like that, and getting links to articles, but when people try to argue or have discussions on there it's just a cluster [expletive] of unreadable Tweets one after another. After that you have, what? Facebook and Instagram comments? That's like a half step above news article/blog comments as the darkest underbelliest dumbest parts of the internet. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I don't really see any newer social media platforms that are better at doing what we do than this one. I wish I could give a like to Derwood liking a post about twitter being bad. This can be arranged
  7. Most every name mentioned in this thread(and there's been a number of them mentioned) have public rumors that they might be traded. This isn't a bunch of random 'well what if the Dodgers decided to trade Kershaw?' speculation. I know, that's all I'm asking. Just seems odd that cost-controlled, young pitching (which, not long ago, was a precious commodity) is something that is now being shopped around by multiple teams

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I don't really see any newer social media platforms that are better at doing what we do than this one. I prefer this, too. We're obviously in the minority. You can disagree with it all you want, but a ton of people basically abandoned this type of format for newer social platforms. Generally those aren't the type of people we want here anyways, so more power to them
  9. Agreed. This format is WAY better. Always bumps the threads with the newest comments to the top, etc. Facebook is awful for discussions
  10. Why is everyone expecting that young, cost-controlled pitching will be shopped around this off season?
  11. Mark Mangino removed from offensive coordinator position at ISU, presumably with the jaws of life
  12. This argument is boring. I'm bored. Hendry has zero to do with the 15/16 off season, so stop talking about his stupid face
  13. Illinois vs. PSU is going to be super annoying, I'm thinking
  14. Texans the worst team in football? That situation is embarrassingly bad. Mallett missed the team plane yesterday and had to fly commercial. Watch O'Brien draft Hackenberg
  15. MSU shouldn't be anywhere near the playoff. Clemson instead of them. I'd forgotten about Clemson. Good call
  16. So current playoff teams would be OSU, MSU, LSU and Baylor?
  17. You know when you're playing Madden and you can't get anything going on run plays or short passes, so you resort to just calling the "All Streaks" play and chucking it down field? That was Penn State's offense yesterday. Hackenberg completed just 44% of his passes, but averaged 24 yards per completion with 3 TD's. Happy for the win, but squeaking by a pitiful Maryland team doesn't fill me with confidence heading into the final 4 games
  18. ha ha ha
  19. 6-7 is what I'm used to. Even when I'm on vacation I'm usually up before 8
  20. They're asking some people on my team to do some overnights in the next few months, and I just can't. I remember jumping at the opportunity to do overnights with the jobs I had in my 20's. And working until like 2-3 AM and then going out afterwards and not sleeping until the next night. Or the day after that. Or the night after that. Now I get tired just thinking about it. "Oh, I have to be up at 6 for work? OK, as long as I'm asleep by 4 I'll be fine." Now I'm just dead to the world regardless of when I went to sleep with something like that. It's all the 22 year olds who are volunteering for the overnights, and Len bless them. I'll stick to my morning shifts
  21. They're asking some people on my team to do some overnights in the next few months, and I just can't.
  22. Am I misremembering, or was Kapler a giant douche bag while he was a player?
  23. I'm 39 and I don't have problems with any of these things. Maybe it will hit hard next birthday? :-k Depends. Generally, when that little voice in my head says "you should probably slow down", I listen. Always have. If you generally tell that voice "[expletive] off", you'll probably pay for it
  24. It was CF Fowler RF Soler 1B Rizzo SS Castro LF Coghlan 3B Olt C Ross P Lester 2B LaStella
  25. Why has this damnable thread not been locked and shot into the sun?
