Obviously I would rather have a player do that too. It's just a quirky thing that's kind of cool and hasn't been accomplished by a Cub in a long time (Grace in 93 is still the last one right?). Correct -

Most successful QB's were drafted in the first round. But so were JaMarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf and Rick Mirer

I know they're saying Glennon is the starter, but I doubt they gave up all those picks to move up to draft a backup for next year. Whoever starts has basically no one to throw too, so I'm not sure if it matters much

yeah, it's a mess, the Bears only got a guy that they feel is a franchise QB and were able to acquire more picks later. jeez, disaster city. I mean what are the plans to recoup the talent they missed out on in the third round? what a crisis. When a team has needs all over the field, depth of picks is actually a good thing.
