  1. Cespedes destroyed that HR, too. And he managed to round the bases without his leg exploding
  2. Most of the mock drafts I've seen are 6-12 months old, though I assume we'll see some new stabs here soon
  3. "I said CONSUMMATE V's!"
  4. Juiced ball still in full effect
  5. Sorry, those horses are out of the barn now
  6. Some internet sleuth on Reddit found that the owners of the Redskins.com domain have purchased DCSentinels.com . YMMV
  7. Good stuff
  8. Those bullpen options sure are something
  9. Tape delay for whatever reason. MLB Network does this a lot with exhibition games. Lame
  10. Trying to figure out why the MLB Network broadcast is 2 innings behind (currently bottom of the 3rd)
  11. Remember when he was a can't miss prospect? Pepperidge Farm remembers
  12. Our school (Division III) just canceled all intercollegiate sports through 12/31.
  13. Bryant has the 4th highest wOBA among the starting 3b they have listed (Bregman way ahead, Arenado a bit ahead, Donaldson in a virtual tie), so the low ranking comes down to playing time and defense (A slight negative). They have Bryant with 180 plate appearances, while pretty much everyone ahead of him is in the 230-250 range. I wonder if the playing time projection is based on injuries or if he gets too many appearances at other positions, diluting his value for this sort of exercise. They have him moving around more than a lot of other 3B. He'd be 7th or 8th playing 3B full time. And that sounds bad too but keep in mind that 3B might be the deepest position in baseball at the moment, like Arenado is 6th and Manny Machado is 8th. What is their top ten?
  14. Unless experts think Bryant’s shoulder issues are going to hinder him all year, I don’t know how you can say there are nine or ten better than him
  15. Random fun-fact: Clay Rapada is an instructor at my daughter's baseball/softball clinic https://www.dbatcolumbus.com/index.php/lessons
  16. I think we can meaningfully conclude that Cotton is nothing more than a warm body who will never pitch in the majors (if it can be prevented)
  17. Newest rumor I'm hearing is actually Pittsburgh, because there's only like 6 or 7 days of conflicts and the players complained about not playing in a major league park. Which, that means instead of 8 teams sharing the visitors clubhouse, you'd have 16. Not sure how high the ranks for importance. Pretty sure they aren't exclusively using the clubhouses. I've seen video of some parks where they are using the luxury boxes as locker rooms, with only 1 or 2 players per suite
  18. This Cotton guy sucks a bunch
  19. ESPN announcers continue to suck. Not much crowd noise on this feed, though
  20. It won’t be enough to take down Snyder (unless he’s named as one of the accused....article is behind a paywall). Mark Cuban survives this level of scandal
  21. Gretchen, stop trying to make Underwood happen
  22. The Pittsburgh RSN wants Ohio Pirates fans to call their local cable deliverer and demand that it carries the local RSN so they can watch Pirates games. The RSN will charge that local cable deliverer a pretty decent fee for this right. If they don't black out the games, then there's no reason for all those cable companies to carry the RSN at all. So they pay MLB a ridiculous fee to, among other things, impose the blackouts to make sure they're the only way to watch the game for literally anywhere the team might have a concentration of fans. Except Ohio cable companies do t give a horsefeathers and have no interest in carrying the Pittsburgh RSN, so here we are
  23. I don’t understand why these local advertisers on the local RSNs wouldn’t want thousands more eyeballs on their ads. Pirates are blacked out for me, but I go to Pittsburgh to see games. Wouldn’t Pittsburgh businesses want Ohio viewers to see their ads? What am I not understanding?
  24. We’re also going to see a lot of mid-level programs fold when their “travel to OSU or Alabama and get paid $1 million to lose” business strategy collapses on itself
