  1. Bryant out here whiffing on center-cut, 89mph fastballs
  2. Right. Good luck finding ANY state with a legislature that isn't enacting questionable laws all day. Rhode Island, enjoy the All-Star Game
  3. I didn't listen today, but I have honestly never noticed the ad reads being anything excessive. All the ads packed in behind home plate at Wrigley is much more offensive to me. I guess we're beyond the point of ads needing to be tasteful and now are just going to cram them in wherever there is open space. I'm with Derwood here. I love Pat and Ron, but there is a lot of ad reading going on in these games, even compared to just a handful of years ago. Is it tied to the Ricketts buying the team? I don't listen to the radio often, but the ad reads have easily tripled in the last few seasons

I guess we're beyond the point of ads needing to be tasteful and now are just going to cram them in wherever there is open space. It was literally everything. Ad read for the cleanup hitter, for strikeouts, for doubles, there are now 2 or 3 different sponsored "player of the game" reads in the 9th. It was insane
  5. I caught the last three innings on the radio. The radio broadcast is completely unlistenable anymore. Every single thing is sponsored by someone, and the sponsorship text Pat has to read is always overly long. I feel like 80% of Pat's broadcast is reading ad copy. It's the worst
  6. You can't resign from a job that you haven't done all year
  7. Sammy Sofa fell asleep at the wheel with the game thread starter thread. Boo this man!
  8. These announcers SUUUUUCK
  9. Woodson is an IU alum who played for Bobby Knight, so he checks boxes for the boomer donors/boosters. His NBA career is a good selling point for recruits. Matta is there to provide mentorship/guidance (as Woodson has never coached college)
  10. They are who everyone thought they were, and the schedule caught up. Yeah it looked and felt unsustainable as it was happening. Was hoping they built up enough of a cushion and good vibes to hang on for a playoff spot but they just arent good enough imo. The good news for you is that Columbus is stacked with Tampa and Florida games moving forward
  11. I hear San Diego has one we might be interested in...
  12. That is not a big market pitching staff. Yikes
  13. Buffalo has now lost 17 straight Now that’s how you tank
  14. Well, succes then?
  15. New players, still no defense
  16. There is always something loading in the background. This page never fully loads and I have to stop it from loading manually
  17. Nico in 2020: Tell me what I need to do to make the team next year Team: Do this, this and that *Nico does this, this and that in the off season/spring training* Nico: I did what you asked, so I made the team, right? Team: LOL NO
  18. I hope the MLBPA puts this service time horse horsefeathers front and center during the next CBA negotiations
  19. Yesterday’s games (outside of UM v LSU) were as boring as Sunday’s were exciting. Even yesterday’s upsets were snoozefests
  20. Oh yeah, Oral is so good. Who doesn't love Oral?
  21. Rutgers blew that badly. Inexperience showed
