  1. Plans for the new Washington Nationals park look exactly like Busch III and GABP. We've replaced donut-shaped cookie cutter stadiums with these now. In 10 years someone will build a perfectly circular multi-sport dome and people will think it's great and retro.
  2. That LSU vs. Texas game is going to be unreal. I can't wait!
  3. How is that NSFW language? The most profane word in there is" nuts". other chats on the site have strong language
  4. Why oh why did I go to bed at halftime of the Texas game?
  5. 1 night, 2 Final Four teams gone. Whee!
  6. and how. 1-6 from 2pt range, 7 for 18 from 3. Aldridge is 7-7 in the half, and most are mid range jumpers. Screw you Shelden Williams
  7. WVU has 15 points, all on 3's. Aldridge is going to be a great NBA player. 6'11", a sophomore, and already can shoot 18 feet jumpers. Please come be a Bull soon, thanks
  8. No matter how effective it may be, I HATE the style that WVU plays. It's like last year's Illini but with no inside game. They are a great argument for moving the 3-point line back. It's boring as hell to watch a team just launch three after three after three.
  9. Anyone else notice that like every player on LSU is a freshman or sophomore? If the stars don't run for the NBA, they are going to be beasts next season
  10. Redick will have a Steve Kerr/Paxson/John Starks type career in the league. Think about it. Chris Duhon is in a 9 man rotation. Smush Parker is a starter. There are what, 30 teams in the league? You think a team like Denver couldn't use a 3 point shooter in their 9 man rotation? Cleveland? Redick can shoot. He wore down towards the end of the season, but he'll have a nice, role player career in the league. Williams won't. He'll be a 2nd round pick at best, and he'll be out of the league within 3 years. He's just not that good. Okay, so I'm not alone. He isn't big enough or strong enough to sit in the paint and post up against NBA power forwards.
  11. just out of curiosity, if there are 6 non-roster invitees still in camp, who were the 5 players from the 40-man who have been sent down? In fact, is the 40-man full at this point?
  12. Nice run by Bradley. I really underestimated Memphis. I had them losing last round because I thought they were too young and hadn't had a challenge in months, but they are showing very well. That said, they STILL haven't really met a big challenge in months. The first three games in the tourney so far have been small and mid-major teams. They'll have Gonzaga or UCLA next. That will be their first major matchup since December.
  13. Okay, Shelden Williams had a great game (and a great year) but for some reason I just can't see him as being any good in the NBA. Am I crazy? He just strikes me as one of those "great in college, 8th on the bench in NBA" type guys
  14. Not too much of a homer pick, eh Vance?
  15. Right, because he didn't have 3 fouls with 19:30 left in the game and 4 fouls most of the last 10 minutes well seicne they have switched over from brad/memphis he has committed 4 fouls that ive seen. if only they were as eager to call that last foul on him as the first 4 They've let them play pretty rough all game, so if you just switched over, you don't know how the whole game has played. People are falling and flopping all over the place with no calls. Okay, it's over, and my bracket is officially SCREWED as I had Duke in the championship game. GAH! Good game though
  16. and....Duke is toast. Worst game I've seen Duke play all year. They had no answer for the defense. Fear the Tigers! BTW, I wasn this Thomas kid on the Bulls bad. Unreal.
  17. Right, because he didn't have 3 fouls with 19:30 left in the game and 4 fouls most of the last 10 minutes
  18. a Bradley win would certainly help me get UCLA to the Final Four Just like KU thought they'd be seeing the second round and Pittsburgh thought they'd be playing Memphis right now? Bradley is better than a 13, they have proven that already. Sure, but how long can it last? I mean, it's a great story, but a hot team with mid-major talent can only put together so many wins against teams with major conference talent. It's why the cinderella stories almost always end by the Elite 8. i don't think Patrick O'Bryant and Marcellus Sommerville have just "mid-major talent." Sommerville was an Illinois transfer and O'Bryant will be in the NBA someday. That is definitely not mid-major talent. True, but how about the other 10 players?

He needs to lose more weight still. He'd hit a brick wall pretty quickly in the NBA. no problem. He weighed 350 in high school and is down to 310 as a sophomore. NBA trainers could get him under 300 no problem (unless he has Eddy Curry's work ethic) btw, ESPN.com doesn't have Davis as a lottery pick. I don't know if that means they don't think he's a superstar, or if it means they doubt he'll go pro this year.
  21. a Bradley win would certainly help me get UCLA to the Final Four
  22. he'd be fun as a Bull, but I doubt they take him
  23. I'm impressed that LSU is still up with their top 2 scorers (Davis and Thomas) on the bench for 11 minutes of the first half. Duke looks like they've never run an offense before. They're getting disrupted by LSU's defense in a big way. I need Duke to eke this one out though as I have them in my Final Four

someone big. Aldridge, Davis, that type. As in Paul Davis? With a lottery pick? Paul Davis is a late first rounder at best. If the Bulls were to take Davis with a lottery pick, I'd be really wondering what the hell Pax is thinking. I may be wrong, but I think he meant "Baby Shaq" Glen Davis from LSU. He's slighty more Shaq than Harold Minor was Jordan. He is a lottery pick though. I vote for Aldridge with the Knicks pick, and if Noah is available when we pick, I would love to have him. yes, glenn, not paul
  25. I was thinking a 3-headed coaching monster of Calbert Cheaney, Alan Henderson and Jim Jackson. The Jim Jackson that went to Ohio State? He would mostly do scouting.....of, um, Ohio state...... In breaking news, Jim Jackson has been outed as an O$U alum and has been replaced by AJ Guyton
