  1. If I'm an NFL GM and he's not working out after his recent slide, it makes me think he's got something to hide. This could cost him lots of money, but I guess if he slides he'll end up going to a better overall team most likely. better team means he has even less chance of seeing the field any time soon If I was him I would not even want to go #1 and get stuck going to the Raiders Maybe he should start crying about that now. it worked wonders for Manning
  2. WHY CAN'T THEY PLAY LIKE THIS EVERY NIGHT?
  3. Bulls really putting it to the Wiz this quarter. I'm not impressed with Washington at all. Arenas is good, but so what? He's not going to score 50 a game in the playoffs. Bulls are beating them without Noc...
  4. He was drafting brilliantly, don't ask me what happened this last draft. the jury is out. I know people want to see more of Thabo and TT, but this team is in a playoff race and you can't use games to develop rookies anymore. Yes, I'd rather see TT late in games rather than Griffin, but that's on Skiles, not Paxson. People on this board clamored for Roy, but this team already had 3 guards and needed a big man.
  5. We are not comparing players, we are comparing GM's and the quaility of team they have built, respective to their league. I still disagree, but I don't think Angelo is bad . Angelo went from 13-3 in his first year (at team he inherited) to 4-12, then built his way up. Paxson inherited a total crap team that went 23-59, but has drafted brilliantly and has had the team in the playoffs in every years since

  7. Some other poster was saying for the past week how pax should be fired because he didnt draft roy. And then make some trade he wanted to see made where we lose Deng to get Gasol paxson is the best GM in the city. And Deng > Gasol Angelo is the best GM in Chicago, and it isn't even close. When Paxson builds a team that can make it to the Finals, then I'd say open the debate. Angelo has been to the playoffs 2 straight years, the Bulls are working on 3. Angelo has been to his leagues respective final round. Paxson has not. if that's your criteria then I can't have a useful debate with you. It's akin to saying Jeff Hostettler was a better quarterback than Dan Marino because Hostettler won a Superbowl and Marino didn't

  9. Have you seen the programming on the NFL Network? Other than one game a week for 3 hours for 17 weeks, it's a bunch of garbage. The ratings have to be in the toilet. What could possibly be interesting on a 24 hour baseball network? Anybody ever watch ESPN sportscenter two or three times in a row? Boring. Same show repeated. It gets boring. And they cover ALL sports. NFL has cheerleaders, so the constant barrage of cheerleader shows on that network gets boring. Baseball doesn't have cheerleaders. Can an MLB Network be trusted to give you anything worth listening to? What you'll get is a bunch of retired old school baseball players who don't know a thing about being a broadcaster (Joe Morgan, Dusty Baker, Harold Reynolds, John Kruk, etc. ad nauseum. And a previous poster was 100% on the money. If you need baseball news that badly (24/7), that's what the internet is for. considering there is baseball every day and not just once a week, you could have a nightly highlight show, etc. More spring training coverage, perhaps even a TV broadcast (gasp!) of the Amateur Draft. I'd watch it.
  10. I don't like it. Opposing managers could change their strategy to get a good pitcher out of the game by telling their hitters to just take a bunch of pitches or try to foul stuff off
  11. if you think the pitching is bad, the starting lineup is just as big a train wreck. This team finished in last placed with Soriano, Johnson and Vidro. Now Soriano and Vidro are gone, and Johnson is hurt. Yeah, good luck with that.

  13. a buddy of mine does game notes/recaps and press guide stuff for the Nats and I make fun of him all the time. I asked him why there was no press conference on ESPNews for the signing of Nook Logan
  14. the man can fill a uniform out, that cannot be denied
  15. who is criticizing? I simply stated that other Eastern Conference teams are also better than last year. That's no knock on the Bulls
  16. And others have fallen like stones -- New Jersey, Miami come to mind. the point being that at one point this year, it looked like we'd be a lock for a #3 seed, and now we're better than last year and clawing for a #5
  17. look like Lou has one of his midgets
  18. I didn't watch the game, but when I saw the box scores on the ESPN ticker this morning, I thought "They must've misprinted Wallace's stats." I don't understand why he can't do that more often. He's big, strong, and judging by his defensive play athletic. Just put the ball in the hoop. Sounds stupid to say, but I don't understand why he can't do it more often. He was a giant out there last night. Cleveland didnt' play him well. They should have fouled him hard on every shot attempt and force him to shoot free throws. He had 2 or 3 uncontested layups
  19. unfortunately, some teams in the East are waking up and playing well. I'd bet that Toronto, Washington and Orlando have better records right now than last year too
  20. holy moly. thank jebus for minor league ball and $4 bleacher tickets
  21. I think that's Sammy wears his sunglasses at night. ah crap.
  22. Sammy where's his sunglasses at night
  23. the slow ball that Shingo Takatsu used to throw was something to behold. it was like someone hit the slo-mo button
  24. Cub pitchers could just stop walking people and it would become a moot point
  25. you're all making the huge assumption that he'll even make the roster
