  1. i think they're officially off the bubble.
  2. and they'll STILL manage to not win the championship
  3. it's a shame he didn't get in, but this thread title is misleading. he didn't get screwed. the system is just broken.
  4. I know people are sick of hearing it, but this team is REALLY YOUNG. I mean, look at Detroit and the amount of experience that team has, not only in the playoffs, but just in the league. Then compare them to the Bulls, whose core is all players who have been in the league 4 years or less.
  5. "Someone with height" is Nocioni. Until he's healthy, we have to put up with more minutes from Griffin, Brown and Allen. He can't get back soon enough
  6. Gotta tip your cap, right? no, but it wasn't terribly surprising that a bad road team lost to a great home team in a playoff style game.
  7. it saddens me that the 2006 David Aardsma pic will be banished to the archives
  8. Thursdays FTW. If I'm not home, I need the DVR and the VCR to tape all 3 things I watch between 8 and 9
  9. Too bad Selig's luxury tax scam only insures that small market owners get to increase their profit margins on the back of Steinbrenner. Until owners are forced to spend luxury tax revenue on payroll, it's a broken system
  10. I caught a bit of the bench press stuff from the Combine. Amazing how stronger the OL guys are than the RB's. They have to press 225 lbs. as many times as they can. Levi Brown did 20, Blalock did like 27, while the RB's did maybe 12.
  11. well Cartwright was a big man who couldn't develop Chandler either. If you want to blame Paxson for the Curry trade, I have no problem with that, though I think the "future heart problems" was a convenient excuse for trading a player that they just didn't think was willing to work hard or stay in shape.
  12. hey, if it makes you guys feel better to blame Skiles, have at it. It's not his fault that Gordon and Hinrich got two early fouls each. It's also not to his credit that Brown had a great night. Just like in baseball, all you can do is put guys in situations and its up to them to perform. If you don't like his rotations, subs, etc., fine, I can see that. But no game is solely the fault of the coach
  13. from this angle, Jim looks to have put back on all the weight we thought he lost
  14. yeah, how dare Skiles allow them to score 12 unanswered! He should have told his team to, um, not do that! HUH? He should have, you know, not played Adrian Griffin in a key situation. Or even better, called a bloody timeout. sure, and the Bulls could have, you know, played defense
  15. Sadly, I think Santo will be inducted posthumously. I think the Cubs would have waited to retire his number until he was inducted if they thought he would survive that long. Sorry to be morbid, but the guy has multiple things going on with him health-wise.
  16. if PJ hadn't score 19 points today, this would have been a double digit loss.
  17. thank. it's a little ironic that the premium interface is actually more complicated to use than the regular. Like you get 1000 more emoticons, but you can't actually click them
  18. yeah, how dare Skiles allow them to score 12 unanswered! He should have told his team to, um, not do that! HUH?
  19. i just upgraded to Premium and now all the time stamps are an hour ahead. The little time zone picture in my profile looks right, but I can't find where to manually set my time zone.
  20. nice win for DePaul. too little, too late, however
  21. Right, and I'm also not the programming director for the MLB channel. I'm sure they'll do shows on baseball legends and all the other stuff that NFL network does. But you're sort of making my point. The MLB network is going to be somewhat unremarkable, so why won't cable just put it in the basic package? Why try to make their customers pay more for something that isn't that great, and in doing so, cost yourself the revenue from EI? It's horrible business sense from cable
  22. Yeah, unless they upgrade that offensive line I can't see any QB succeeding there-I doubt they will able to be trade down (the #1 pick is usually seen as too expensive unless there is a sure-fire person at the top) but they do need to build the line through either later picks or free agency. with no obvious guy at #1, why wouldn't the Raiders just take Joe Thomas if that 's a need? As you said, I don't know of any team that is clamoring for Quinn or Russell to the point that they'll trade multiple picks just to move up a few slots
  23. I wonder what day of Spring Training is "get your new mugshots taken for ESPN and MLB.com Day"
  24. Quinn 2007 = Leinart 2006 Get the green room cam ready.....
  25. Hinrich is 2 boards from a triple-double
