  1. i can't belive none of you think the bulls can beat the heat in the playoffs. shame on all of you
  2. teh bulls have been awesome in the 2nd half, but the cavs had enough of a lead going into the 2nd half to hold on. Both teams have been amazing down the stretch. I'm not giving up onthe Bulls over one frigging game
  3. wow, an actual comeback. who would've thunk it.
  4. just can't catch up
  5. I still do not understand the love affair with Heat. Yes, they've been really good in the 2nd half, but everyone has them inked in for the Eastern Conference Champions before the playoffs begin
  6. 5-4 Braves better than the 5-2 I saw earlier.
  7. and these announcers aren't rooting against the Bulls. In the 3rd quarter all 3 have said good things about both teams. It's as if anyone says anything good about the opposing team they're suddenly anti-Bulls...
  8. fouls getting scary here for the Bulls.
  9. [expletive] is josh boone ugly
  10. this is a statement game for the Bulls. If they win this, look out in the playoffs
  11. i started watching midway through the 3rd and the Bulls had no defense at all. Skiles must have kicked their butt in that time out, as they seem to be stepping it up now. How bad was it early?
  12. Based on what? He's gotten older (turns 32 this season) and it's been 4 seasons since he played shortstop. He doesn't look as mobile as he did when he was with the Rangers (but hey, he'd still be a better defensive SS than Jeter). If, as Bob said, he could prove me wrong, I'd love a Z-for-ARod trade. Wouldn't his offensive production make up for the drop off in his defense though? A-Rod is the best SS on the Yankees, they're just too stupid to play him at the right position
  13. any chance this game is on TBS as well?
  14. Well, they have played 13 games so I'm not entirely sure... I think the offense will be fine and the "questionable" pitching has been solid, overall, thus far. To answer your question, I believe the Cubs longest winning streak last year was 4 games so it was at least 2 seasons ago... I keep hearing the Offense will be fine. It will come around. This is exactly what was said in 2004 and 2005. Are we sure that it will be any better than a middle of the league offense that it is now. the team hit the ball really hard over and over again yesterday, but right at people or into the teeth of the wind. The BABIP for yesterday's game was crazy low
  15. the league isn't being terribly cooperative tonight
  16. this race for the #2 seed is nothing short of remarkable. Neither team will flinch
  17. so how many games will the cubs go with a short pen?
  18. I believe many of us knew it was over as soon as Ohlman got up in the bullpen. With the trade of Neifi Perez, Ronny Cedeno is clearly the worst hitter in the Cubs orgainzation, I don't it close. at the rate the cubs offense was going, ohman would have had to throw about 7 more shutout innings
  19. i still don't see why everyone was swinging for the fences with the winds blowing in at eleventy-nine mph
  20. With no help from the excellent fielding of Jacque Jones. And Theriot. and Murton
  21. no, this is on the offense. Lou put every single reliever out there before Ohman and the Cubs couldn't score
  22. Because if the game is tied there's no one to pay SS. Izturis PH earlier. Marquis, Pie, Zambrano across the outfield Ramirez, Theriot, DeRosa, Jones across the infield. i'd pay to see that
