yeah, for all the complaining we do about the team right now, I always look back to when I started being a Cubs fan (circa 1992) and feel slightly better. At least we have expectations now. Clearly the only expectations in those days was to find enough players to field a team and maybe sell 15,000 seats per game

i love the OT system and wish the NFL would adopt it Really? I think it's terrible. I wish college would use Sudden Death like the NFL does. There's just way too many instances of games going to 3rd and 4th overtimes in college, which is awesome

+1 This is the dumbest idea ever. The WS format is fine. If MLB wants to change anything, make the ASG an exhibition game again and give the team with the best record home field advantage at every stage of the playoffs, including the WS. that makes way too much sense. clearly we need to alternate years or let a lucky fan decide who wins

I was over by the stadium before, and walked by the set. They were broadcasting from there. I don't intend on being there tomarrow morning. I'll probably be sleeping. And I am really looking foward to the game. If we win, I'll go crazy, but at the same time will be avoiding the people who are setting things on fire and smashing property in celebration. yeah, i'm pretty much turning on the TV and locking the doors. good thing i don't really live near any student housing

I was hoping Atlanta might take Marshall, Cedeno and another pitching prospect. Don't know if that would fly for the Braves. I'd like for the Cubs to keep Theriot as a utility guy. Um, no he's not. He's a little guy that plays shortstop. Leadoff hitters can only come from the SS and CF positions. Occasionally a second basemen can bat leadoff, but usually they bat 2nd. So I'll take Theriot batting leadoff over Pie anyday. Guys, I have an awesome idea. Lets take our worst hitter and give him the most at bats and then follow him with our best hitters!!!!! coughjunapierrecough
