  1. I'm more nervous this year than last, only because I didn't think the Cubs had any shot last year
  2. only two undefeated teams in the Big 10 are Penn State and Northwestern
  3. ah, he's been moved to full back. never mind
  4. so is Tony Hunt just a special teams guy on the Eagles now, or is he even on the active roster?
  5. thank you, Buffalo, for getting your head's out of your butt's and keeping me alive in Survivor Football
  6. ah crap, i somehow didn't save my Pro Football Pick 'Em picks this week. that about kills my chances in that league :banghead:
  7. with Extra Innings, you have to upgrade to the Super Fan package (or whatever it's called) to get the HD games
  8. back back back back back back back....gone! he hit that one to /hates chris berman
  9. If i had the choice between a dead when i was 20 dad who was a famous Cub or a normal alive dad, I would totally pick Ernie Banks every single time. um, not me
  10. Tim Kurkjian said that if Howard were to win the MVP, he'd have the lowest batting average of any winner since the 1940's or thereabouts.
  11. let's see PSU beat at least one more good team before we get too excited. I'm as big a PSU homer as anyone on this board, but Illinois is the only team to give them a tough fight so far (and they aren't the toughest game on the schedule). Talk to me in a few weeks
  12. why are these the two choices? I would vote for Pujols, Berkman, Wright, Utley and maybe A-Ram over Howard
  13. how far do Georgia and Florida fall? I assume Florida drops into the 11-15 range for losing to an unranked team at home, while Georgia might cling to the top 10 with their late comeback effort
  14. we just always lose there, and usually we get stomped. if ohio state was way down this year, i could see it, but they still have a boatload of talent and are still very good, despite the poor showing against usc. I would have more confidence playing them, say, next week than in 4 weeks. The offense will be much more tailored to Pryor by then.
  15. i worry about their defensive line being thin with all the suspensions and guys getting kicked off the team. i still think they may wear down against run-heavy teams like ohio st and wisconsin (the two toughest games left). two got reinstated today and should stay on the team as long as the university police don't find evidence to press charges. The team seems to have a ton of depth everywhere, which is a nice luxury.
  16. also, look out for ND cracking the top 25 this week, right or not
  17. I doubt it will be that order. what would be yours? I can easily see Bama jumping some teams with their win on the road (compared to LSU's "meh" win against Miss St. at home). The question is whether they'll move MIzzou up on a bye week.
  18. I considered this a good test for the PSU defense, as OSU is going to run a very similar offense. After those first couple of scoring drives, the PSU linebackers adjusted well to all the option plays out of the shotgun. Should be interesting to see how Pryor runs that offense compared to Juice. and do we see three Big XII teams in the Top 5 this week? I can see: 1. OU 2. Mizzou 3. Bama 4. LSU 5. Texas
  19. Georgia should never have been the preseason #1. I predicted at least 2 losses for them.
  20. besides which, a grainy picture on my laptop is a bit less fun to watch than the hi-def feed on my 46" LCD
  21. Really? So that means their comeback against Minnesota at the Metrodome a few years ago was the biggest? I think they were down 21 points in that game. that is correct
  22. my pick em' picks are all shot to hell, but i'll take all the upsets
  23. and the biggest ever at Michigan Stadium
  24. wow, Badgers lose
  25. flag on 2 point conversion. oops
