    And won more games than the previous year? one more game, yes. the Rays could win one more game than last year and miss the playoffs too. I think the only way the Rays would "disappoint" would be to regress to sub-.500 baseball again.

    I don't think that will happen. We're gonna hire from within (Tom Bradley) and give him a very long leash, because Paterno will be sitting in the background making it so. Or do you mean 20 years down the road? Well JoePa won't be alive 20 years from now. I think the boosters will get the upper hand at PSU just like they have just about everywhere else.

    Nomar will have an MVP caliber year, and Sosa will invariably rebound and with Prior, Wood, Zambrano, Maddux and Clement as the rotation, they'll remain a strong pennant contender foresooth (sic) they're loaded

    Angelos needs to quit acting like every "fan favorite" is Cal Ripken, Jr. Yes, your franchise was spoiled by the guy, we get it, but Markakis/Roberts/Whoever isn't Ripken.

    Obviously not, because if we were watching the first round of the playoffs today then the first week of the season (y'know, with games like Appy St v LSU and Youngstown St v OSU) wouldn't have meant nearly as much. Or something like that. . . True, today's matchups would've sucked. Who would've wanted to see OU vs. VT, UF vs. CIN, UT vs. Utah and USC vs. PSU?

    Stacy King is awesome. Neil Funk is horrible. I really miss Larrivee on the WGN games. Seriously? I hated Larrivee. Dude had like 2 catch phrases that he used all the time and rarely when appropriate
