  1. as if Cable will have a job there next year. LOL
  2. this just in: guys with low career batting averages just might have low career averages with RISP, in the post-season, etc.
  3. i'm having trouble finding info about it on DirecTV
  4. Just so you know, Dunn's career average with RISP is actually .225, not .241. and his OPS?
  5. And won more games than the previous year? one more game, yes. the Rays could win one more game than last year and miss the playoffs too. I think the only way the Rays would "disappoint" would be to regress to sub-.500 baseball again.
  6. the thread asks if the 2009 Rays will disappoint, and I simply pointed to another team that looked set up for a great season after making the playoffs. relax dude
  7. I don't think that will happen. We're gonna hire from within (Tom Bradley) and give him a very long leash, because Paterno will be sitting in the background making it so. Or do you mean 20 years down the road? Well JoePa won't be alive 20 years from now. I think the boosters will get the upper hand at PSU just like they have just about everywhere else.
  8. i'm really not looking forward to the time when my favorite team will be changing coaches every 3-5 years
  9. Nomar will have an MVP caliber year, and Sosa will invariably rebound and with Prior, Wood, Zambrano, Maddux and Clement as the rotation, they'll remain a strong pennant contender foresooth (sic) they're loaded
  10. Angelos needs to quit acting like every "fan favorite" is Cal Ripken, Jr. Yes, your franchise was spoiled by the guy, we get it, but Markakis/Roberts/Whoever isn't Ripken.
  11. you guys have some pretty lax "favorite team" rules in Indiana Come again? CubbieBum is a fan of like 4 teams. I thought I was quoting him (you both have Ball St. sigs)
  12. Oh my LOL They've probably got a better shot at knocking off the Longhorns than the Nittany Lions do have knocking off the Trojans. could be. I just think it's hilarious how fast you're bolting off the Texas bandwagon
  13. you guys have some pretty lax "favorite team" rules in Indiana
  14. Oh my LOL
  15. well upon further review, Alabama would probably get a spot over Utah
  16. Obviously not, because if we were watching the first round of the playoffs today then the first week of the season (y'know, with games like Appy St v LSU and Youngstown St v OSU) wouldn't have meant nearly as much. Or something like that. . . True, today's matchups would've sucked. Who would've wanted to see OU vs. VT, UF vs. CIN, UT vs. Utah and USC vs. PSU?
  17. Didn't Mt. St. Mary's make the tournament last year? could be, but they were like 3-6 coming into the game
  18. wouldn't today have been a lot more fun if we were watching the first round of playoffs?
  19. Stacy King is awesome. Neil Funk is horrible. I really miss Larrivee on the WGN games. Seriously? I hated Larrivee. Dude had like 2 catch phrases that he used all the time and rarely when appropriate
  20. wrong again. you can't even get info that's not yours correct anymore he's always wrong unless his prediction has 3 or 4 backdoors for him to crawl out of
  21. Penn State should be doing a little better than barely beating Mt. St. Mary's....at home
  22. I feel (slightly) better about Penn State losing to Temple now
  23. can we put "Rumor/Idea" in the thread title please?
