  1. i'm really hoping this is everyone calling Boras' bluff (though that would technically be collusion)
  2. any "-1" channel is the HD version of the channel. ESPN = 206, ESPNHD = 206-1
  3. PSU wins again, and will likely be 11-2 heading into conference play. Can't complain about that. Looks like an 18-20 win season depending on how the breaks go
  4. Tampa is too smart to sign him. some reports on Rotoworld have some loose links between the two, especially if the Rays don't sign Bradley. Don't know why they would favor Anderson over Burrell, but apparently they do
  5. someone will sign him (Tampa Bay maybe). i'm hoping Hendry is bright enough to avoid him
  6. The Bears need to win, period. That's all they can control. A loss to GB and it's over
  7. Probably because neither can get in this week. ah yes, it only lists Week 16 scenarios, which are as follows: New York Giants The Giants clinch a first-round bye with: 1) A victory over Carolina OR 2) Minnesota loss or tie The Giants clinch home-field advantage throughout NFC playoffs with a victory over Carolina. Carolina Panthers The Panthers clinch the NFC South title with: 1) A victory over the N.Y. Giants or tie OR 2) Tampa Bay loss or tie and Atlanta loss or tie Carolina clinch s a first-round bye with a victory over the N.Y. Giants or tie. It clinches home-field advantage throughout NFC playoffs with a victory. Carolina clinched a playoff spot with Dallas' loss to Baltimore. Minnesota Vikings The Vikings clinch the NFC North title with: 1) A victory over Atlanta OR 2) A tie with Atlanta and Chicago loss or tie OR 3) Chicago loss Tampa Bay Buccaneers The Bucs clinch a playoff spot with: 1) A victory over San Diego and Atlanta loss and PhiladelphiaI loss or tie OR 2) A victory over San Diego and Atlanta loss and Dallas loss or tie Atlanta Falcons The Falcons clinch a playoff spot with: 1) A victory over Minnesota and Tampa Bay loss and Dallas loss OR 2) A victory over Minnesota and Tampa Bay loss and Dallas tie and Philadelphia loss OR 3) A victory over Minnesota and Tampa Bay loss and Philadelphia loss and Chicago loss or tie OR 4) A victory over Minnesota and Tampa Bay loss and Philadelphia loss and Dallas clinches strength of victory tiebreaker over Chicago
  8. Sportscenter just laid out the scenarios needed for Dallas to get in, but I didn't catch all of it. They need TB to lose twice (to SD and OAK) which alone is unlikely ETA: ESPN.com doesn't even list Dallas (or Chicago) on their "how do they get in" page
  9. holy ish.....i went 1-3, and had 31, 24 and 13 points on the games i got wrong. At least I had 34 on the game I got right
  10. so i did.....nothing to see here
  11. Hermida is interesting, but would you rather give up cash or prospects? With Dunn, all you're giving up is money, whereas Hermida will probably be held for king's ransom
  12. the lack of parity in the NBA is ridiculous
  13. which is why St. Louis was smart to lock him up when they did
  14. I both agree with this, and am scared by it. except for Soriano and Lee and Fukudome and Ramirez and Zambrano and Lilly and Edmonds
  15. Mel Kiper Jr. was just on ESPN and projected Tebow as a 3rd round pick who will be a 3rd string QB and a HB/FB
  16. I hope the Nats get him. It'd be the best 10-year deal since Charlie Weis
  17. KyleJRM quit on the Cubs and now he posts here 10x more than before
  18. clearly Dusty Baker had it right when he told Dunn to lay down a sac bunt last year.
  19. he retired after being a crappy first baseman, so he's attempting a "comeback" to baseball as another position. what word would you use?
  20. I really hope he does it. Not because I'm a fan of the guy, but just because it would be a cool story
  21. by that standard, you wouldn't be able to fill an NFL, MLB or NBA roster
  22. I can sorta understand him wanting to transfer to Missouri, but Rutgers? Penn State is graduating their top 3 WR's this year, so it seems like the perfect time to slide in, even if it requires sitting for a year. On second thought, Penn State has no idea who their QB will be in 2010, so....
  23. the game in Buffalo last year was just too weird to watch on TV. with the fans so far away, all of the closeup action looked like there was no audience
  24. Yep http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0728579/
