  1. He's doing his best Soto impersonation out there
  2. that's pretty average. Wrigley has (I believe) the longest dimensions down the lines in baseball
  3. Halladay can't play CF, SS or 1B or bat cleanup, so.... Yeah, but it's only a matter of time when Beltran and Reyes are coming back, and they can find a decent enough bat to play 1B if Delgado is out longer. The Mets are 9 games out and none of those hitters are coming back soon. Halladay isn't going to erase that deficit by himself. It's only worth if for the Mets if they signed him to an extension
  4. so happy I'm not watching the ESPN feed
  5. Halladay can't play CF, SS or 1B or bat cleanup, so....
  6. right down the middle is the only pitch the ump is giving lilly
  7. eh, we all thought the game was over yesterday when they were down 4-0, but eventually the crappy pitcher shows his crappiness
  8. good thing Ibanez's defensive liabilities prevented the Cubs from signing him over Bradley
  9. So then who is Albert Pujols, really?
  10. jason marquis has 2 more wins, and thus is better
  11. if they get Halladay, they will be repeat champions. That's an awfully positive statement. Nobody "will" be anything in a baseball playoff setup. I like Boston over Philly for sure with their pitching
  12. Unless the weather heats up a lot in August, Wrigley will get "park factored" as a pitcher's park this year. Len mentioned that in the 40ish home games this year, the wind has only blown out 10 times
  13. Marmol has been pretty bad. He's squeezed himself out of self-made trouble, but he still has no idea where his pitches are going and overuses his slider
  14. I'm cool with most uniforms as long as they a) aren't sleeveless/vests and b) aren't "alternates" (I can't think of a single team whose alternates I like) This past weekend was the worst.....Red shirts vs. Blue shirts for at least 3 of the games, maybe all 4. UGH
  15. My team of 9 Sammy Sosa's will beat your team of 9 Ichiro's every day of the week
  16. he's had one decent season in the last four....I'd say he's done
  17. neither Hamels nor Moyer has been too great this year. The guy I'm happy to miss is J.A. Happ
  18. lol, do you know anything about the physics of pitch speed and pitch break?? Olde Thyme players threw underhand in the National League. In the American League, they just set the ball on a tee.
  19. this game got kinda boring here late, but 4 game sweeps are awesome. Please win 2 of 3 in Philly
  20. I would like a 2009 example of a "pure hitter"
  21. I haven't just posted about KU. in the future, please restrict your posting to something people care about, like a running play-by-play of your college football video game or detailed breakdown of your custom player on MLB the Show. your coach is fat
  22. The beauty of Fox and Hoffpauir is that they seem to come up with big hits every time they're given a chance to start
  23. Can't, he's our #1 trade chip* *if you read most posts in Transactions
