  1. Despite these past two days, this team is still terrible
  2. I go out to eat dinner, it's 7-2. I get back in the car, turn on the radio, and hear Lee tie it. Serious FTH moment there
  3. DeRosa doing everything he can to not get traded back to Chicago
  4. just because you keep saying this doesn't make it true Not saying he was lazy but he should have just ran to the spot and got under it instead of trying to make the catch look good. just because you keep saying it.... seriously, you think Reed Johnson (of all people) was trying to hot dog a catch? Why is Reed Johnson exempt from hot dogging? He could have ran to the spot and caught it but he jogged out there and tried catching it to the side. Guess it's not how I saw it.

  7. These Indians announcers are insufferable
  8. choo looks like a little leaguer in that stupid helmet
  9. So their rain delay programming would be the game where Willie Mays Hayes scored from 2nd on a bunt? I wish. Instead, it's some slutty TV woman asking fans Indians trivia with cash prizes
  10. wish I could watch with you guys, but living in Ohio means I get the Indians rain delay coverage instead
  11. Assume you saw that CSN interview It sounds like he really misses Chicago too. yeah, I love how honest he is. "Do you still watch the Cubs?" "Yeah, emotional win yesterday. Nice seeing D-Lee and Geo getting the big HRs." F Jim Hendry. I know DeRosa isn't a Hall of Famer, but I don't care. He filled a very important role on the team both on the field and in the clubhouse. He really cared about what the Cubs were trying to do and appreciated the fans. Maybe if we weren't eating Chad Gaudin's few million and paying Aaron freaking Miles 5 million over 2 years, we could have had him this year. but he bats right-handed, which is very very very bad
  12. wait, one win and they're back to being the Cubs?
  13. Glad to see someone else's pitcher get the Randy Wells treatment for once
  14. http://a550.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/46/m_5886f43115bc1e34632feb7eed3756f5.jpg
  15. why is Babe Ruth never under any suspicion when he showed up and started out-homering entire teams?
  16. not expecting.....a tie?
  17. It doesn't take much to conceal it, though. As long as you aren't a d-bag who screws over your trainer (coughclemenscough) then everyone is going to cover for you. Just watch the MLB Network; most of their studio guys were active during the Steroid Era, yet they all act like nobody they knew/played with was doing anything. We all know this is complete BS, but the fraternity of professional athletes generally doesn't rat each other out.
  18. There's no doubt about that. As long as you believe Maris wasn't popping the greenies....
  19. and I think you're wrong. Ok
  20. his entire career that almost exactly spanned the Steroid Era? Yes, the guy who hit 257 HR including three 40+ HR seasons and a 38 HR season before 1998*. *I'm aware that players juiced before 98, but I think that is the year that is generally considered to be the start of the "steroid era". I think most people consider the Steroid Era to be 1990-2005
