  1. Soriano in RF would be a nightmare. Rf at Wrigley is harder to play than LF think about that. LF is enough of an adventure for Alfonso, no way he'll be able to play right.
  2. Eh, Dodgerblues isn't really funny to me, but I chuckled a little at this one.
  3. Nope, I don't want to believe it either. I especially love the quote on the cover about Morgan being intelligent. You know, I think I've got it figured out. This man, known by the alias "BaseballBob", is really Joe Morgan. It all makes sense!
  4. I need to start two of these players, one which'll be the flex, and one that'll be the last WR spot. This is in a standard ESPN league. RB, Derrick Ward, vs Sea WR, Reggie Brown, vs Was RB, Dwayne Bowe, vs Car WR, Chad Johnson, vs Dal I'm leaning toward Ward and Brown right now, is that a good decision? I'm in a bit of a crunch, my team is winless ( Woohoo  ), and most of my starters are on a bye.
  5. That's what yo momma said last night. Nice. Anyways, I agree, a praises forum isn't going to get that many posts, just because NSBB isn't exactly the home of the most optimistic, hopeful people. I guess you can create a rant about how something is so good.
  6. This is awesome. seriously, that dude should write a book or something. baseball for dummies i dont know im just brainstormin This book already exists, and guess who it's written by? http://images.amazon.com/images/P/0764575376.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

  8. I hope they don't think that this will enable the Rays to sign high priced free agents. Merchandise sales of MLB licensed stuff is shared with all 30 teams. This means when all those Yankee and Red Sox fans buy up all that Yankee and Red Sox gear, they're helping out everyone in MLB. They don't have to, they have to lock up their current roster (BJ, CC, Kazmir) and a 97 win team, the youngest team in the playoffs, with the best farm system in the game will only get better. Actually, their farm system is very good because of all the high draft picks they've had during the crap years. This is how the Tigers got to the World Series in 2006. With this good season behind them, the Rays will have a low pick next year. A little known fact about the MLB draft is that, unlike the NFL and NBA, teams cannot trade their pick positions. This means the Rays cannot offer, say, Carl Crawford and Rocco Baldelli to the team with the first pick next year for that pick. DYK? If you draw four balls, you get a walk. But be careful! Three strikes and you can TAKE A SEAT, MEAT! IMB, it looks like the Cubs have gotten to you. Edit - Haha, I just noticed that DYK is "Did you know?". At first, I thought it was a misspelling of another word, and you were insulting that other poster...
  9. I hate waiting until Saturday for the next game. Tomorrow can't go by quickly enough. I know, it's like looking forward to your execution, but I want to see if I can survive this execution. Also, IBL
  10. ... Umm, win Saturday. Not much else to say, I'm exasperated.
  11. I like this, let's hope 9th inning Cubs show up on Saturday. =D>
  12. This is fun I guess. Now let's carry this over to Saturday.
  13. Yay, hits. At the very least, hopefully it's momentum leading into the next game, and the Cubs have finally loosened up. Who am I kidding? I want to believe, but I can't.
  14. It is tough to imagine. This offense is just deflated, they've given up. It's hard to see them trying and succeding on Saturday. If the original game 1 didn't happen and tonight was game 1, the game would've been closer.
  15. :( When something like this happens, I don't get angry and start throwing stuff, I just become numb and sit there in agony. It happened during the end of the Bears Super Bowl, it happened during Illinois-UNC and until the comback, Illinois-Arizona, and it happened tonight. It's just an awful, sinking feeling that doom is imminent. We can take the next three. It's not likely, but it can happen. I'll have hope.
  16. Why should we be cordial to a ---SOAPDROPPING--- Brewer fan on here talking Howry about the Cubs at this point? We should have let the Mets win. Or swept the Brewers to end the season. We have great Brewers fans here, but Ender isn't exactly one of them, and this just isn't the time, in a heated, frustrated NSBB, to debate.
  17. If the Cubs win this game, I'm going to go CRAZZZYY! :)
