  1. TD Dufreene! Illini lead 17-14 now
  2. That was pretty awesome, I guess. I can't do anything on those things, but I did do a smilie face once. Oh, how proud I was that day.
  3. I'm not sure if the Dodgers will exactly feel that way, but it's possible. Plus, I like any scenario that involves the Cubs winning.

  5. Splintersag everywhere except IGN, where for some reason, I did splintersag914.
  6. Red Sox win, and the United States California Los Angeles Angels of Anahiem are now down 2-0 in this series, like in every other series. I hope all of those go 5 (of course, including Cubs-Dodgers), I love watching must-win playoff games.
  7. I was referring to several of the other hits he allowed. And yes, the ground balls that the fielders booted were also hard-hit. If he hadn't been unlucky they were booted, he'd have been very lucky they were at'em balls. He was adequate last night, but nothing particularly special. Whether you consider that "good" or not is semantics. Agreed. I think Z was "good", just not "great".
  8. Great catch by Youk to jump over and grab that one.
  9. Haven't you heard? There's like a magic evil goat or something, man, it's crazy.
  10. How about you get rid of your avatar. That thing slows down the entire page ?? He doesn't have one. Do you mean sig, the one with Speedo Guy? It kinda does slow down the page. You can AdBlock it if it's really, really bogging down your computer.

  12. Gone. K-Rod gives up a Lidge-like homer that'll advance the Red Sox to the ALCS, most likely. I think the Angels win G3, but Boston takes it in 4.
  13. Santo, Banks, Ryno, Billy Williams, and the rest: These guys never won a championship, the Cubs have to win a World Series for all the old-timers. It'll never be as sweet to them as a championship for themselves, but I want them to see a WS victory in their lifetimes. Steve Bartman: This guy doesn't deserve all the crap he gets by some (usually less informed) fans. It'd be great to see a WS victory, and have Bartman come back for the first pitch/stretch, in a game next year. After everything he faced in '03 and beyond, he's still a loyal fan and won't even cash in on his fame. All Cubs fans, alive or not: They need it, for their sanity. Plain and simple.
  14. Even if we didn't have defensive errors, the Dodgers had a couple well hit balls. He didn't look great yesterday, not even considering the D, but he was servicable and we probably would've given him the win with a good offense and defense. I'm not saying he was bad, just not great either.
  15. I can't wait, but it's a 10:25 ET game. :( Boo for late start times.
  16. I like this decision, I guess. Zambrano didn't play great yesterday, but he clearly earned it more than Dempster did. Let's wait and see if we get that far, but if we do, I agree with choice to pitch Z.
