    pretty much. the approach isn't bad (despite what everyone in this thread seems to think), but everyone in the lineup is just getting poor cuts at hittable pitches. it happens. I'm sorry, how is first/second pitch hacking a good approach? I'd much rather see hitters work counts, which the Cubs seem opposed to--this evening at least. Piniero was everything right down the middle, do you want them to take a strike to start every at bat?

    I still find it amazing that he actually got his fastball up to 86 MPH for that movie. That's pretty bad for a pitching prospect, but pretty good for an actor. Is this some sort of joke that I'm missing? Because I don't see how it is at all possible that Robbins threw a ball over 60, let alone 86mph. There are plenty of real life pitchers who I wouldn't think could throw over 60 but yet throw in the 90's. and who would that be?

    If it's a crapshot, why are the Cubs so consistent with landing on the bad side of the coin? you cant expect them to get to the final 2 in the NL when they are 3rd in payroll. hendry is behind the 8 ball here.
