  1. At the end of the N.C. State-Miami game. Miami was up 2 with 11 seconds to go, State's ball. The point guard brings the ball down dishes it to Gavin Grant who drives, misses the layup, and J.J. Hickson comes out of nowhere to tip the ball in to tie it. Then Miami takes the ball out of bounds with 3.5 seconds left. The Miami player throws it right to Gavin Grant who put in a layup to win the game by two in overtime.
  2. It's ok, girls, you'll go back to clobbering everybody and having everyone in the nation slurp Tyler Hansbrough soon. They actually havent killed anybody all season, except for the really really bad teams, and State. All the other games (BYU, Clemson, Davidson, and Georgia Tech) were close games that easily could have gone either way. P.S. Hansbrough is not that good. He should not even be on ACC first-team IMO. Hansbrough is averaging 21.6 points and 10.0 rebounds a game, while shooting 56 percent from the field (good for 1.8 points per shot). The past two years he's gone 18.9/7.8/57%/1.68 and 18.4/7.9/53%/1.61. You are either incredibly biased or blind. Now, if you meant to say he's not a great NBA prospect, I agree with you. Edit (this refers to earlier posts): Also, K-State blew out Texas A&M. So? Texas A&M has beat one good team (Ohio State), have a schedule ranked below Indiana's putrid schedule and have been blown out back-to-back games on the road. A&M has talent, but they haven't done much at all yet. He's also averaged 10 free throws a game, which is an insane amount. Even, if you take away half of them back to about average, hes down to about 15 or 16 points a game. He padded his averages a ton against the terrible teams without a big guy. The only two teams Carolina has played with at least one quality big guy, Clemson and N.C. State, hes averaging 12.5 points and 13.5 rebounds and 37 minutes. Im not going to argue that hes a bad player, but hes not all he advertised to be.
  3. I know nobody is going to believe me since I am a Duke fan, but Hansbrough gets an insane amount of calls, against Georgia tech he attempted more free throws than the rest of Carolina and GT (I am sure there are more games like this). He just uses his body and goes right into the defender then kinda flops around and gets a foul call. I realize that this is going to start a firestorm of criticism that I am not the one that should be talking but its true.
  4. After reading this today, I quickly researched him today, and if his fastball is getting up to 96, I do not want to give him up for Roberts, escpically with Cedeno and Marshall included.

  6. Ill happily eat crow after Hansbrough misses a last second three, for the Maryland win. EDIT: VERY worried about tonight's game with Clemson, more so than I would be about playing Carolina, Clemson's three big men are all very good, but guards arent too great, whereas Duke's big guys are pretty bad, and the guards are all pretty good.
  7. I still know Carolina will pull this off, even though its tied with a mintue to go and maryland on the free throw line
  8. I came here to say that even though Carolina was down by 11, everyone in the triangle area knew they would pull it out. By the time I get here, its already tied.
  9. I changed my name from PlayPie to Golden Thunder, so I am actually third on this.
  10. Could we move this to Fantasy Sports Discussions? I think this could get lost in Social, and it is sort of Fantasy Sports. This would be a lock to stay on the first page of the other one for another 4 or 5 months if it is moved.
  11. Jeez guys, how did 6 people quote Nefti's name? That's not even funny.
  12. Zambrano slightly over Hill
  13. I beg to differ. Michael Beasley says hello
  14. i hate hansbrough and carolina
  15. you could use a proxy like http://www.proxyvoda.com to allow you to get on it.
  16. Does that mean its gonna take 228 pages to get this deal finalized??? Can you imagine if that actually happened?
  17. I know it will never happen, but Murton in left, Soriano at second and DeRosa at short, would dramatically improve our offense, and wouldn't downgrade our defense too much IMO. Imagine replacing Theriot's bat with Murton's
  18. I agree but he's kind of beat up and I'm sure he doesn't want to take a chance to get hurt even more. plus devine would probably start next year anyway Yea, at the end of the season Devine was definitely outproducing Slaton.
  19. I can't believe we might be looking at the Patriots, Colts, Cowboys, and Packers as the last four. I want some new teams not teams that were either historically very good or that have been dominant for a few years
  20. That should have been caught, but to be fair, it has to be HARD to catch a ball today. That's what she said.
  21. Yea because with all that Hendry has done for the Cubs he definatly deserves a break. Jeesh guys lay off He has done more then any other recent GM Whats your point? Just because he hasnt been as terrible as previous GM's, doesnt mean he hasnt done a bad job. triple negative
