    i still like him and think he'll be a useful addition to whatever team picks him up. i don't think the Cubs are going to go after him, though. The Cubs have moved on from the whole "Our starters spend 1/2 the season on the DL" phase.

    How bout putting Dempster in a non-save situation??? Terrible decision tonight. Thank God it worked out. Is it too much to ask a guy to get the job done with a 4 run lead? Then if Lou doesn't put Desmpster in, out come the "Dempster needs regular work" excuses.
