    All year? I don't think he sticks at all. I don't care how much talent you have. Kind of impossible to only play a handful of games in 4 years and expect to make a Major League Club.

    Oh we are cooked. Two starters out. You are still awful, you play hard and have had an easy big ten schedule thus far. Plus the big ten sucks besides the two big teams. About how it has been the last 5 years with just two new teams at the top. Alhtough I guess it was three and wiscy remained. Awful? #16 RPI # 8 Pomeroy #15 Sagarin I'll take that kind of awful any day of the week. 14-4. 4 losses to Butler, KY, Duke, and Ohio St.

    I understand the game tomorrow has a lot to do with it. That, combined with IU playing very well (when most Illinois fans thought they would finish in the lower half of the Big 10) and the Illlini battling some injuries and losing a few more than they thought they would have to this point. I'm not fully confident IU can go into Champaign and get a win. Despite the three losses at home by UI, it is still a tough environment to play in. I do know this game means a hell of a lot more to UI than it does for IU. It just cracks me up to read a lot of Illini fans say tomorrow night is their chance for a "signature win" when just a couple months ago they didn't miss an opportunity to tell everybody how awful IU was.

    I'd say it is whining. Get over it. Sampson should have called Weber, obviously, and he didn't. That's it. Don't act like you (by that I mean Illini fans) and Weber didn't know it was a possibility. Yeah, the kid told you he was still coming to UI when he had clearly re-opened his recruiting with IU. It was obvious to everyone with half a brain that Gordon might go to IU. He ultimately bailed on UI, but it clearly wasn't a surprise and I'm not sure what Weber would could have done about it even if Sampson or Gordon had been openly clear to him about what was going on. Second of all, I assume the "let's brawl" comment was a joke. Who cares it's done now. . Apparently a lot of people still care or it wouldn't be repeatedly brought up.

    I knew it was just a matter of time before this played out issue would come up again... It's not whining yet, but its getting pretty close. I couldn't be happier with the coaching job Sampson has done this year.

    I don't care if he can steal a base or not. It would be pointless to risk injury on a starting pitcher trying to steal a base.

    Maybe people will quit freaking out about Murton not getting a chance. From all indications he is going to be an everyday player.

    He will most surely be drafted,probably in 6th or 7th round. You never know. Drew Henson was drafted while he was still giving baseball a shot. He was drafted a couple times I think.

    Excellent. Where did you see/hear that? Bruce Levine called into Dan Patrick's show to report it. I believe he said Samardzija could get up to 7 million.

    Now official. Not going to the NFL, signs 5-year deal with Cubs.

    Craig Wilson is a decent player, but many on here severly overrate him.

    Where can I sign up for that bet? I respect what he did for the Cubs, mostly. But his bat was pathetically slow in 2005, I don't think a year off will improve that either. Trust in Rudy. Ask DeRosa how that worked out for him. DeRosa is a lot younger, and didn't have a whole year off either. I don't wish him any ill will, but I just don't see it being a successful return.
