The baseless optimism by some is almost as annoying as the baseless pessimism displayed by most in the game threads. I have a feeling it'd be a tie if there were nearly as many making baseless good predictions. When you are 20+ over .500 and are leading the game, there is no such thing as baseless optimism.
so I'm assuming we aren't guaranteed at bats this inning if they call the game? They will revert back to the end of the 7th and it will be as if the 8th was never played. Oh so if the game is called with 2 outs then it reverts back to the top of the 8th tomorrow? Unless the Cubs score 2 or 3
My preposal is that after 5, if 1 team leads by 5 runs, its a game, otherwise, it has to go 7. I mean its ridiculous to call a game over when your down by 2 with 4 innings left to go. I kind of like your idea.
I was at the Iowa Cubs game tonight and Wells looked really good. I don't anything about him but he struck out the first 4 or 5 guys he faced. Dubois' 2 homers were no doubters to center and when your center field is 400 feet with a tall fence that is impressive. I was impressed by the AAA team and didn't realize how good of a hitting team that they have. The only thing that sucked about tonight was Kevin Hart. He made one good pitch to end the game. The other two outs were a rocket to center and what would have been the tying run was gunned down at the plate on a double.
This is my favorite home run of all time. I remember I was in high school and we had a TV in our basement. My parents bed room was two floors up and I woke them up as I ran around my basement screaming. An inning later I wanted to murder Mark Guthrie.
