  1. The catch itself wasn't that great, it was his recovery when he dropped it. He robbed a homer, his recovery just added to how great that catch was. I only saw it once, but I wasn't even sure that ball was going over the fence. He went up pretty high. That would have been gone.
  2. So you're 4 years old? He probably means first that he's seen live. Or maybe he's on his iphone posting from the game? Probably the former. I'm sure that's what he means. I'm just messing with him.
  3. espn.com says that it's only the 16th one thrown (in modern history). I didn't realize that there were so few.
  4. I thought for sure he was going to lose it when he fell down.
  5. I love to see this as any perfect game goes down as one of the greatest pitched games in history. It's fun to watch regardless who's playing.
  6. It would be funny to see Hawk freak out on a bad call that screws him of the perfect game.
  7. Ok. Hawk is really friggen annoying.
  8. I'd actually like to see the guy that Greg Maddux has never heard of do it. Even if he is a White Sox player perfect games are pretty awesome.
  9. Pitcher's seem to be good against a team that hasn't seem him before more times than not (at least that's what broadcasters say). Hopefully the Nats can help us for the 5 time in the past couple of weeks.
  10. Is Va. Tech supposed to be good? The only thing I know about them is they lost Vasallo and they look like they were dominated by him and two other guys last year. And yes I know we'll be bad. Yeah, but we'll have home court advantage. So that....means nothing.
  11. A lot of teams bunched up there, but for the Cubs to make the playoffs, they would have to play very good baseball anyways so the number of teams shouldn't be a problem. The thing that scares me right now is that the projected playoff teams are very scary. Can anyone see the Cubs winning a playoff game against Philly or LA let alone a series? We may be able to beat someone like SF or COL, but its highly likely we'd be matched up with them. I think we have good enough pitching to beat anyone. I'm just afraid our offense will never wake up from their season long nap.
  12. Considering all the injuries and lapses of crappy play if they find a way to pull it off this year it will be very special.
  13. If the Astros win this division than no one else deserved it anyways because the Astros aren't going on a 2004 Cardinals type tear.
  14. Gregg seems to be pitching really well of late and Lou really seems to have a lot of faith in him right now. This is the second time he's went more than one inning in the last week.
  15. I was going to say Hart's been pretty good so far this year but I didn't realize his WHIP was so high.
  16. Not that he's amazing or anything but he could hit the ball out of the ball park a little bit. Do the Pirates have anyone else who can do this now?
  17. Any chance he developed some offensive skills while he was injured?
  18. Because I'm pretty sure that Lou is in the early stages of dementia.
  19. To be fair getting to down on the team because they get beat on the road against the hottest team in baseball is not smart either. Although that kind of defends the point that they are average.
  20. I bet his 20 MPH fastball will fool everyone in our line-up. Yeah but he's really smart and stuff.
  21. It's pretty epic that we're still going to be 2 out at the end of tonight.
