  1. I hate when Iowa tries to go deep. We just don't have the receivers to do it.
  2. LOL nice dive by Donahue. We won't score though anyways but it does keep Penn State from scoring.
  3. I'll take the penalty but that was kind of weak.
  4. and the down years were REALLY down And Iowa was actually pretty good at the time. the 6-4 game was the worst game in the history of ever That's actually one of my favorite games ever but I love low scoring games and 6-4 is a baseball score.

  6. That's true Herby, they hang around, but let's face it. A lot of Iowa's wins vs Penn State came in Penn State down years.
  7. Iowa would be fine if they could catch the ball.
  8. in three days he will rise and be seated at the right hand of God. You make it sound like he isn't God himself.
  9. F it. This one's over. I hate The White Stripes.
  10. CATCH THE DAMN BALL
  11. I hate life right now.
  12. Well, crap.
  13. Please don't suck Stanzi.
  14. That's what "the call stands" means. Otherwise he would've said "the call is confirmed". I thought they just said the call stands in all cases in college. I'm sure refs have said confirmed in college and I've heard it in the pros but I can't remember hearing it in college. I've heard 'confirmed' a few times in college. The Big Ten needs to do something about this, because this is embarrassing for the league. You can't just blatantly hand games to the big-ticket team in the conference without repercussion. Yeah. Big Ten refs suck. I'll never understand why Witvoit or whatever his name is, is allowed to ref Michigan games.
  15. He's not good. He's average at best but I don't think he's miss wide open receivers by 20 feet bad, which he has done quite a bit, especially in the first half.
  16. if that meant anything we would be 1-2 right now. 0-3 actually.
  17. So are 3 of Iowa's 4 best offensive players. Yeah, I'm really not sure I think Iowa has a chance. I think the D will keep it in in it but we don't have much going on offense if Stanzi doesn't learn how to pass (I'm very skeptical that we can run if we can't pass at all) and I don't see how Stanzi's going to play well when his problem seems to be nerves (a lot of overthrows to open receivers and just throwing the ball too hard for his own good some times and not throwing it hard enough at other times, mostly in the first half). I don't see a prime time game in Happy Valley as the game where Stanzi calms his nerves down.
  18. Jan Stenerud and George Blanda are in the hall as kickers. Ray Guy is in the hall as a punter (wait, he's not? wtf?). Either way though, I agree that more K's and P's should be in there (not Vinatieri though, he's a little overrated from being on an awesome team). If you don't play an offensive skill position though, the NFL HOF is really hard to get into. NFL kickers aren't really defined by how good they are but by how many big kicks they have. Vinatieri has probably had more "big game" game winning kicks than any kicker. Plus he played in Boston so he'll probably make the hall of fame based off of those things alone.
  19. I was wondering that too. I also found it interesting that they chose to use Joniak instead of Laravee. And they're playing it during the Packer games on the radio, too. I wonder how many Packer fans understand who that is :) I doubt many. I don't know of any of the visiting radio commentators except Laravee because he did the Bulls and Bears. I wonder if Joniak's call was just a made up one? I can't think of any games where the Bears won it by a tip at the end except Brown's two in 2001, and Laravee did that call for the Bears. This means nothing but Larivee has been the Packers announcer since 99'. Also I actually listened to that Bears/Browns game on the radio and I thought it was the same guy who does Bears games now but I have no clue on that one.
  20. You don't know that. Give me one realistic option to put out there that's likely to outproduce Bradley. One. I've been asking for quite a while... haven't seen anybody come up with one. Why don't u give us one then? I'm pretty sure that his right fielder would be Milton Bradley but I may have missed that.
  21. I wish they would have just taken two shots at the endzone really. There just wasn't enough time to throw to the middle of the field. Oh well, it really shouldn't have gotten to that point. It would've been fitting if Odom got another sack to end the game. 2-2 is a best case scenario at the bye now. That sucks. Yeah, Peterson against our run D is going to be disgusting. Not to mention how much it's going to suck to watch Favre destroy us at the Metrodome. God two weeks from tomorrow might be the worst night of my sports life now that I think about it.

  23. That was like striking out with the bases loaded when you are down four to end the game.
  24. No chance. We have to get a TD in 40 seconds with no timeouts. It's doable. Not likely but doable.
