Aren't sports scholarships given on a year by year basis (I thought this was the case)? If so the idea to pay back every dollar from a 4 year scholarship is dumb because they don't exist.

I don't think I've ever seen the road teams student section out number the home teams. Actually I don't think I've ever seen the road team have a student section in high level college basketball. That must be what being a Brewers fan feels like at a home game vs the Cubs.

Looking at their remaining schedule Northwestern should be in the tournament this year.

I'd rather just have a 347 (or however many teams there are) super tournament then to expand it even more. If it keeps getting bigger there isn't much reward in going and with 96 teams you'd have to imagine most power schools are going to get in. I'd rather just keep it a 65.

Bad loss but I'm not too upset over it. It's tough to fly across the country and play a game two nights later. Especially at the end of a long road trip after an emotionally draining win. I just hope if Chicago doesn't get the 1 seed that Detroit will get the 8th seed so I'll be satisfied with 2nd.

I went out to eat last night at the start of the 4th quarter (when NO started making their run). I was listening to it on the radio before we got to the restaurant and it sounded like it was over for sure (New Orleans was up 4 and the Bulls couldn't do I think). I was stunned when I checked the score and saw that they won. Please don't play down to the crap teams now. You have too much of a good thing going right now.

They can't believe what they just saw? Did they never watch Favre in the past? That was his signature move. Yeah, really. Besides the two years in the 90's where we reached the Super Bowl, Favre's had moments just like he did yesterday in basically every one of our playoff defeats. It was amazing that the throw occurred in that stage of the game, but with Brett Favre you have to expect anything to happen (whether it be good or bad). To have the reaction that they did about the Favre throw is just dumbfounding. Yeah, but at UMfan said they are basically fans. They were a couple of yard from the Super Bowl. To go from that to the interception had similarities to Game 6 of the NLCS for us.

I'd blame Childress for the conservative play calling at the end of regulation. Longwell's an accurate kicker but 50+ yards isn't a gimme at all and he's never been know for his leg strength. Favre's horrible decision to throw into coverage instead of running it kind of sealed it. I think the Colts win against the Saints though. The Colts can defend and the Saints can't. That'll be the difference.

The refs have been very sub par today.

Forward progress stops when he gets pushed back though. I think the fumble will screw him though. So would it be he got it, then fumbled, recovered, but after he recovered he was short of the line? I'd think so but their isn't much precedence for a play like that.

By the way, I enjoyed the Saints player mocking Jared Allen after the interception.

Hopefully the Saints remember their offense is their strength here.
