I'm leaning towards the Bears. Their schedule is kind of brutal the rest of the way and I don't know if they are good enough to beat good teams. I'm kind of expecting a Vikings run actually. They have too much talent to play as badly as they have.

Way too many. Don't forget we played there in 2007 too. I remember the NFL giving the BS answer of 'well that's just how it falls with our strength of schedule formula." It doesn't happen that many times in a row by coincidence. Well considering the format for schedule making was set years in advance, I don't see how anyone could possibly claim a conspiracy. The Bears just played 3 years in a row against the Saints at Soldier field (2006, 2007, 2008) and won all 3. Coincidence? The formula is a pretty simple one now (I assume it was the same or similar then) so while it was frustrating it had to be coincidence. Plus we always played them in the playoffs there because they had a better record. I don't know if Green Bay has won in Dallas in my life time although I only remember them beating us at Lambeau once.

i'm not really sure what more collinsworth can do. hasn't wade phillips done more than enough to get himself fired? That coverage on 3rd and 1 when Kuhn ran for like 10 yards (that should really never happen by the way) was awful. Almost the entire Dallas team was lined up to one side.

I think NFL refs get screwed by the rules quite a bit. Basketball rules are a little bit more straightforward in my opinion and NBA refs still screw up a lot.

111 without Gatens. I don't know that any college has ever had such polar opposites in back to back years. My bold prediction is that they will not finish last. I don't know who will though. I didn't realize how athletic some of these kids were. It actually makes me really annoyed Lickliter held everyone back (or at least seemingly did). I am pretty excited for next Sunday.

It's an exhibition game against Springfield-Illinois but Iowa just scored over 100 points in a game. I don't have faith they'll win too many games but they should be a lot more fun to watch then they were under Lickliter.

If the Vikings don't make the playoffs then I don't see how they keep Childress. It's just a matter of if they will wait until the end of the season to do so. I still don't understand that extension they gave him last year.

I'd pick Ferentz in a heartbeat. I don't think there is a coach that can take Iowa to a higher level than they are now so the best thing that Stoops could do is match Kirk's success an there's no guarantee he would have stayed as long as Kirk. I do think that Kirk gets a little old timey and conservative with is in game stuff and that probably has cost us games but it's hard to say how many games his style has won.

I'd be happy with where the standings were right now if all the teams that matter in our division didn't have at least 5 games in hand on us.

I'm kind of rooting for Iowa State today. They look pretty good defensively. It's almost like the day they played Texas they decided that they were a BCS football team.
