  1. I know what you mean. I fear that Thibs' style will just wear on the players after awhile and they'll just stop responding to him after some point time. But I also realize that that's just me reaching for reasons not to like what he has done. Dude's a tactical beast. I really think Boozer and Thibs are going to clash at some point. It probably won't be this years but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
  2. I can't think of any sports figure that went from most hated to most loved for me ever. That couple of months that Edmonds was a Cub was pretty sweet. I hope he makes the Cards team because he sucks now.
  3. There's only so much that can be said about a game in two weeks. I'll be really ready to go tomorrow night but the long layoff/other stuff in my life has kind of killed my excitement (I mean, as much as excitement can be killed for the Super Bowl.)
  4. This game turned interesting fast.
  5. And Orlando is a pretty big mystery to me. At times they look like the best team in the NBA and then there are times when they look very mediocre. If I had to bet right now I'd probably say the Bulls or Celtics are coming out of the East.
  6. I'm trying to figure our how Bosh is in and Boozer is not. It doesn't bother me much and I'd rather a guy with an injury history not play in the all star game but I think Boozer has been better than Bosh this year.
  7. He should have been. That wasn't really close to a foul.
  8. Does Baron Davis actually like playing basketball?
  9. You would have to think that most of that is because a lot of people bought season tickets to rally around the team (I don't know if this is true or not, I don't care enough to look.) and at this point they own the tickets and have said [expletive] it. Plus, this team is becoming historically bad so there is a little intrigue. I would think that attendance would plummet next year.
  10. It didn't really mean much since they got one point out of it but I don't see how that was a flagrant foul. I guess it might have looked worse than it was because when you can fly like Griffen can you are going to hit the ground hard.
  11. I don't think that's a flagrant.
  12. Holy crap. That was insane.
  13. I've never watched Griffen play a full game. He's pretty good on offense.
  14. Michigan State just isn't that great but man did Iowa need a win like that. A win like this could get some people excited. Just to see Iowa with 20 points more than a team like Michigan State, who has been good recently is exciting. God, I hope its the beginning of something good with this program.
  15. Any way Michigan State makes the tournament now? You can't lose by 20 at Iowa and make the tournament can you?
  16. Michigan State looks like they flat out don't care. Iowa has had a bunch of easy buckets and they look like a real basketball team. This has been surprisingly enjoyable. I hope they Hawks keep this up. I'd have to imagine Michigan State fans are tired of Iowa City after the football game from earlier and now this game.
  17. I almost wonder if it will pretty much consist of the Giants calling him with an opinion every once in a while. I doubt he would want to retire and then go into a high stress job.
  18. Yeah, me either. I don't get the hype he's getting nationally. Guys must have short memories, because while is TD/INT ratio was pretty elite last year, he's one year removed from like a 20-pick season. The key is that he was able to improve on that ratio. Shows that he is coachable. I like Stanzi probably more than most people. He has good size. Can make every throw (except maybe the deep out from opposite hash, but a lot of NFL QBs can't make that throw either). Love his intangibles (leadership). I don't think he's the most accurate. I mean his numbers show that he is but watching him for every game of his college career he threw a lot of poor passes to open receivers. To me his value comes from his body type and his decision making but he would need a lot of work to be a decent NFL QB.
  19. I love when the Blackhawks score to put the game but it doesn't really put it away because of shitty defense.
  20. The Cavs futility has been one of my favorite things to follow this year. They really don't look like they will win another game this year.
  21. I don't really think the schedule is that tough. It's just tougher than what it's been lately. Asider from Utah and New Orleans the really tough games are at home and the Bulls can beat anyone at the UC.
  22. Back off the [expletive] ledge and take your meds. Things could be a lot worse. In life yeah. On the basketball court, no. We haven't lost to Iowa yet. It's coming.
  23. That was one of the softest plays I've ever seen from a post man.
  24. yeah, i was surprised that i was rooting for the heat over the knicks. i also rooted for the celtics over the knicks earlier this year. i just can't stand the knicks. now i'm terrified that the knicks will get melo, pass atl for the 5 seed, and we'll have to play them in the first round. I would trust our team that has a strong defense and a couple of guys who could score over their team that would have a strong offense and nobody that could stop anyone.
  25. Gus Johnson is making this crap fest of a game sound incredible.
