An individual game in baseball just doesn't mean much in baseball since there are so many of them but for whatever reason, I really, really, really hate losing on opening day in baseball the most.
I'm guessing you want him to tie it up right there if he can. Definitely not the best decision I've seen Quade make. Why? You have a better chance of Pena doing something good with a grooved 3-0 pitch than you do if he takes the pitch down the middle and try to hit from a worse count. I hope he green lights every good hitter on the team with the understanding that you're narrowing the plate down to the middle of the plate. On the other hand though, is it easier to take 1 ball in 3 pitches or is it easier to get a hit?
Yea... would be nice if we could have like a sunny 70 degree day on opening day for once... We certainly didn't have one of those last year. OH WAIT What's a "last year?" I'm trying to remember anything about last year. I remember Castro, Colving hitting some homeruns and that's about all he did and I remember Heyward hitting a home run off us opening day. That's about all I got.
I haven't gotten the sense that the Bulls have cared at all this game and they are winning easily. Of course it's hard to look too passionate when the other team takes a stupid jump shot early in the shot clock or tries to isolate the defender every possession. You don't really have to try.
Miami is down 19 in the 3rd quarter to Cleveland. The Bulls picked a good time to get beat as both their competition for the 1st seed looks also go down. I guess Miami could still win though.
It felt like they did that a lot last year although I'm sure it's just because I watch them the most. If they do turn it over a lot in their own zone my guess is because they seem to be a team that likes to try to take chances to score goals starting in their own zone. I will stop trying to pretend like I know anything about hockey now.
The Bulls usually make it close in the end, I wouldn't be surprised if that happens again tonight. It'd be nice if the Celtics lose though. I could live if this night ends with the Bulls having a 2 game cushion still.
