  1. David Ross’ weird retirement dream season is one of the best sports things I can think of
  2. I got you. Nice.
  3. horsefeathers. Does anyone come back from those and perform well?
  4. What a silly little franchise
  5. Yeah, when more and more science is saying football is bad for the brain and people are starting to turn from the sport makes it a difficult time to try a new league. Obviously the thought is people are turning from NFL itself and not football in general but when younger people are playing less and less I don’t see that as the case
  6. Seems to be an odd choice for a man who made a product that seemed to be so popular at one point for being kind of anti establishment
  7. Make it a league for players that don't want to go to college and pretend to be a student but instead want to get paid something like $50k a season to play football in the hopes of later playing in the NFL. Something like this is interesting as a thing that could work, especially because the NCAA sucks but I think the minor league football concept only ultimately works because of the tradition engraned into college football
  8. No Sosa, Bonds or Clemons makes it hard for me to care at all
  9. I’m starting to actually believe there won’t be a Finals rematch this year
  10. Just need a solid lottery rigging. A top pick with a developing core is a fun dream
  11. Playoffs are more likely than top 5 pick now right? I mean we’re the Bulls so we’ll get neither and pick 9th but I’m still enjoying what they’ve pieced together.
  12. I Really don't think the DB tried to launch himself. I think the pass floated and the DB thought he might get there too early causing a PI. Game can't end on a defensive penalty, and that would've put the Vikings in FG range with one play remaining and no time on the clock. I think the DB pulled up trying to avoid making early contact. Unfortunately, he took out the other defender - ball game. He just dove at Diggs instead of trying to tackle him- and whiffed. A PI penalty would have been a much wiser choice. In other words, I don’t think he was thinking that clearly on trying to avoid the PI, he just blew the tackle Vikings probably win if there’s a PI so that’s probably what happened. So cautious though that he whiffed.
  13. I'm pretty sure this is the third time this season that a team has taken a knee. The Chiefs did it against the Redskins, and then the Eagles did it against the Raiders. It's definitely becoming more common for teams to do that. It’s only recent the defense could get 2 points in the nfl though it wouldn’t have mattered.
  14. I feel the same as a Packer fan. I hated them with Moss. Hated them with Favre but I don’t find them unlikeable. My mom is a Viking fan too and long title draughts ending are fun. I’m not exactly pulling for the Vikes but I don’t really care if they win
  15. Hope the Jags can steal one vs the Pats
  16. Dunn is an interesting player. Seems like non-Bulls fans don’t think much of him while a lot of Bulls fans see All-Star potential. He plays good defense and seems to get where he wants and those aren’t exactly teachable skills. In a league with a lot of star point guards I have no clue how to gauge him but he’s a very interesting player
  17. If the end result is developing Dunn, Lavine, Ports and Markannan into good players and having a couple of picks than it could be worse. The NBA is basically an everything has to work out perfectly league in order to win titles
  18. A mid first rounder for Niko feels like a win
  19. The non-patriots and Steelers AFC is stupid bad
  20. So, even with a playoff there’s no definitive champ this year.
  21. What we have is a potentially strong core that could be built around instead of one high potential player with a bare cupboard. If this team keeps trending in a winning direction I enjoy it. If I had more confidence in the front office I really think we could be building towards something good. I don’t know, maybe it’s meatbally or something but I do think building a winning mentality or whatever matters and as a competitive person I find it hard to root for losses. There’s likely some value to winning over losing on purpose
  22. I’m genuinely starting to wonder if playoffs are possible
  23. If they keep winning and knock off both Boston and Cleveland this week on committed to rooting for a playoff birth
  24. I assume there will be a guarantee players stand during the anthem?
  25. This is getting weird
