  1. You could have purchased lower level seats for about 25 dollars for the Sox vs Rays series. I think it's safe to say that, that would not be the case if the Cubs were in the same situation.

Can't hurt when it comes to potential free agents at least
  3. Saints schedule looks pretty tough the rest of the way too.
  4. Looks like what the Saints and Packers offenses needed to get going was to play the Saints and Packers defenses.
  5. Ugh. This is awful. They better get REALLY [expletive] good. Once we're turned around (if it happens) I really hope we have a long string of good teams. If that happens, I can live with this, otherwise, this really, really blows.
  6. What happened to Wisconsin's o-line? They've were pretty dominate for the past 3 years.
  7. I thought the Cowboys had a shot on that last lateral.
  8. Stupid Badgers.
  9. That was a bad call. Reminds me of the treatment Michigan and Ohio State seemed to get back when the Big 10 was meaningful.
  10. We're not going to beat an NL west team on the road this year are we?
  11. Do any other teams have a twitter hashtag on their field because if not I have even more of a reason to hate Nebraska.
  12. Alabama is the best team but college football can be weird. And it's a lot to ask any team to win 12/13 straight games in a row so I never feel comfortable picking any team to do it. I don't remember anyone hyping them up as a nearly unbeatable juggernaut until they beat Michigan, who isn't bad but they aren't a championship contender. Then again, aside from the loss to LSU they destroyed everyone on their schedule last year and then they dominated LSU so maybe I just wasn't paying attention.
  13. That's just silly. Why are we crowning a team as champion in week 5 again?
  14. I think Oregon can beat 'Bama.
  15. Beating Minnesota is much better than losing to them.
  16. One more loss and this is officially the worst Cubs team that I've ever seen. Yay!
  17. I just stared at that for a couple of minutes straight.
  18. There isn't a single baseball stat that has taken me more than a couple of minutes of reading about it to understand. So, it can be read about during the commercials of watching a game.
  19. One of those guys had massive brain trauma recently...
  20. Because the overtime is "sudden death" and a touchdown ends overtime by rule. In the instance of last night's game, they could block the extra point, return it for 2 points and still win the game. They did change that rule in the NFL a couple years ago didn't they? Yeah that's not a rule in the NFL anymore (if it ever was). If it was, the Packers would have at least put up a token effort to block the kick last night. Charles Tillman did that on MNF back in 2006 (returned a blocked XP to the opposite end zone) and when he got there he just sorta dropped the ball and walked away realizing that there was no reason for him to run all the way down there. I don't think it ever was. The NFL hasn't had the 2-point conversion for that long so I assume they never implemented it for some reason.
  21. No, they said "After review, the call on the field stands". The NFL statement said that it stood as there was not enough evidence to overturn. You're right, I listened to it again. I swore they said it was confirmed at the time.
  22. Another thing that annoys me about the review is that the refs confirmed the play as being a touchdown as opposed to not seeing indisputable evidence to overturn the call. Semantics? yes. Meaningless? Probably, but it still annoys me.
  23. I'm not understanding the argument of "hand on the ball" equals "possession".
  24. And by "sweep", you mean lose all 3, correct? No, I like when my team wins. I have a hard time rooting for meaningless wins at this stage when they could mean the difference between the 2nd and the 3rd or possibly 4th pick. There is a decent chance that the difference between 2 and 4 will be negligible, but there is a 100% chance that any wins for the rest of the season are meaningless. Pretty sure this discussion has gone on at least 85 times in the last 2 months.
  25. I don't see dual possession on either replay but I can see how you'd think it was live action, I also understand that you can't overturn possession on a replay, if that was what was being reviewed. It was a bad call that cost a team a game but to be fair, I've seen worse. I'm still sure why one ref was signaling touchdown and the other was signaling and INT though and why they just decided that touchdown was the right call.
