  1. Once Oregon gets in any kind of a rhythm it doesn't seem like they ever get stopped.
  2. I'm impressed with the Lions ability to make me hate them so much despite their long championship drought.
  3. Regular season basketball is pretty meaningless. I feel like you'd have to be a pretty hardcore NBA fan to find a lot of joy in it.
  4. I love the 2010-11 team from a sentimental stand point. I think I like this one more. They are so much fun to watch.
  5. It's crazy how good the Bulls have been on the road. If they had a normal good team home record (they've only played 11 so a 6-5 record doesn't mean much, they'll win more at home) They'd probably have a Golden State type record.
  6. The Bears winning doesn't really effect the Packers unless Green Bay blows the lead in the last 3 minutes. Good point, because next week is winner take all with a GB win right? It is. I guess a Bears win does put Green Bay in if there's a tie.
  7. The Bears winning doesn't really effect the Packers unless Green Bay blows the lead in the last 3 minutes.
  8. "I don't disagree but do you really need to say it over and over again because sports are fun and what's the point of worrying about how we might suck later" is more the position I'm taking. I don't really get the timing of essentially saying "hey, we probably won't win a title guys" after a fun win.
  9. Bulls give a team their 5th loss of the season in their building, without their star player, but you gotta make sure everyone knows right away that there are flaws on the team!
  10. It isn't though. I'm not talking about discussing flaws with the team. I'm talking about harping on the same point repeatedly, which is especially annoying when the team is winning. Bulls fans have been especially obnoxious about this for quite some time now. Plus, I'm pretty sure that Bulls discussion on a random Cubs message board isn't going to ruffle any feathers.
  11. Ugh, Iowa. At least we aren't Michigan.
  12. So this is going to be the annoying thing that's repeated all season ruining reading basketball forums for an entire season even though the team's good. Championships are hard to win, we probably won't win one just because the odds are always against it, this team has a decent chance of doing so. I don't see the point in consistently harping on the flaws repeatedly like some do.
  13. Michigan State is about to lose to 1 win Texas Southern.
  14. It be pretty Lions to lose at home to the Vikings after Green Bay loses.
  15. Don't the Cavs start an 80 year old Shawn Marion and what's wrong with Dunleavy?
  16. Two straight games now where D-Rose has been making old D-Rose type plays. Just stay healthy please.
  17. Getting destroyed at home by Iowa State is going to be less painful when the Cubs are winning the World Series next year.
  18. So the Big Ten wins the ACC challenge and then loses to all of these weird schools?
  19. It should be the four most deserving teams. Disagree. That mentality made Wichita State a #1 seed last year. At that point the process potentially becomes even more arbitrary than it already is and there could easily be a time when you're arguing in a 2-3 loss team into a national championship position which I just don't like. There have been worse tragedies in college football than Ohio State getting in over TCU/Baylor though. I just hate scenarios in college sports that diminish early season games for no reason.
  20. Right, and that's always been stupid.
  21. Football is a week to week sport. One team looks great one week than less so the next. Ohio State looked not that great just the week before. I don't see how the playoff shouldn't be whomever has the best results. Not considering early games is close to putting on the hottest teams at the end of the year. They only play 12 (13) games. They all matter.
  22. Disagree. OSU should not be in. Because of a game three months ago? Considering it's part of this season ignoring that game makes zero sense. No league ignores early season games when determining playoffs because that's dumb.
  23. The Virginia Tech loss sucks. Too me it's between TCU and Baylor. I'm going back and forth on those two. I don't really think head to head should matter that much. Especially with TCU's loss to Baylor being by only three points on their field. I'm leaning Baylor just because beating TCU is a better win then either of the two have but then again, a loss to Baylor is better than a loss to West Virginia plus TCU thumped Minnesota in the non-conference while Baylor doesn't have a win of note. Okay, I'm saying TCU should go out of the three.
  24. Would this be one of the biggest upsets ever? Kenpom has NJIT has 290.
  25. Hilton's a pretty tough place to play, even when they're bad. With a ranked team coming in it will surely be loud.
